HAIIIII, it's Tessa, bring in another character. This is Hayley Marshall-Kenner from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, except she comes into CoS with three years of CRAU -- her canon pull point is the end of season one of The Originals -- from Teleios. (POURS ONE THE FUCK OUT FOR THAT GAME, sobs I miss it.) Which means she's done the whole universe-hopping thing, New Orleans feels like a lifetime ago, she has more members of her family because CRAU fam, her daughter has a different name than she does in canon, and can someone please get her a strong drink?

Hayley is a werewolf who was later turned into a vampire, so she's a hybrid of both species. She's also 100% sass.

State of the City At Large:

The Weather
Now that the ice is starting to recede, the sun is welcome to do its job again. Over the next week, temperatures rise back to the summer highs that were being seen before, with a few extra thunderstorms to compensate for the rapid rise in air moisture.

Crime
As the ice frees up water ways to bring much needed supplies back into the city, crime is rising. Deliveries are getting stopped and stolen, and it’s heavily affecting how quickly the grocery stores are being restocked.

Rumors
People are largely pleased to be out of what seems to be the worst of it. There’s a tension of hostility towards anyone who would suggest rocking the proverbial boat, but most souls are simply looking to rebuild and find some peace
