State of the City: Peripeteia

May 10th - May 20th
The flow of demons have started slowing down in the City and while the fight isn’t over yet, win or lose, everyone is feeling the weight of it. The shock the the breach still had hold over a few souls, but even the Magistrates, when and if they’re seen, are an inch shorter - bowed by stress, exhaustion, and the weight of the tragedy.
Whatever happens, things will never be the same again.
The breach in the sky has shrunk, if anyone is paying mind to that kind of thing and the waves of bodies have started to ebb with it but those that can feel the power of the City will have a different perspective - It’s getting weaker under the strain and the slight boost in defense wasn’t a particularly good sign.
(Players will decide how and to what degree their characters are affected by this and all of the prominence shifts to come. It is entirely optional to be involved with the prominence events. This will last for one in-game week and emotinal fuckary will continue on May 6th. Please remember that we are on a 3:1 day ratio!)

The Weather
Who cares about the weather? The sky is stuck somewhere between overcast and dark, barely good for any light and not letting any rain in the hopes of it all clearing. How many days has it been since you’ve seen the sun?
Crime
Crime in the City is largely moot - many have died in the battles and those that haven’t are mostly taking advantage of the City’s services, but there are always a few people who want whatever it is that you’ve got. Desperate times, after all.
Rumours
Pretty much everyone is talking about Current Events and those who aren’t are deaf and blind. Questions about what will happen and if what’s being done is enough are abound.
