State of the City : Greed

WEEK 47 : Greed
December 04 - 10
The City seems driven by an entirely different force than usual this week: greed. Citizens and Chosen may note that the pull of the City is more basic and animalistic than it has been of late; no one can quite pinpoint what’s causing it. All they know is that this bout is a little bit harder to resist.

(Players will decide how and to what degree their characters are affected by this and all of the prominence shifts to come. It is entirely optional to be involved with the prominence events. This will last for one in-game week and end on December 13. Please remember that we are on a 3:1 day ratio!)

State of the City At Large:

The Weather
Though the sun has peeked out a few times during the week, colder weather is settling in. Snow seems content to stick around, and the temperatures outside are cold enough for people to both see their breath and not really want to be outside that much. Bundle up.

Crime
There seems to be a larger influx of Lust infiltrating the City once more, vexing the CSPD thoroughly. Some investigation has been made, with no real evidence or headway made. The police have been looking into the disappearances of some working girls down in the Red Lantern District, and may attribute their deaths to the drug’s renewed popularity.

Crime has otherwise settled into a constant state, with people apparently sticking to what they’re doing. The major crime rings know what they’re doing, the shadow demons still present know what they’re doing, and no one is really branching out.

Rumours
Rumour has it that the citizens of the City are still sending Temperance their dollhouse furniture, though there’s no news on how much he actually likes it.

The rest of the City is oddly quiet. No news on whether or not this is a good thing, but we can only hope.

One of the Chosen, Eliot, is hosting a ‘Nofucksgiving’ party on December 07.
