WEEK 35 : Pride
September 11 - September 17

This week sees the City’s many citizens and Chosen becoming rather proud and stubborn. Even if it’s not normally someone’s thing to not accept help from someone, it’s just that much harder to do so; even if someone is normally quick to defer or concede to someone else in an argument or discussion, it’s not happening this week. Instead, everyone is on edge and tense, unwilling to budge from where they stand (metaphorically, of course).

(Players will decide how and to what degree their characters are affected by this and all of the prominence shifts to come. It is entirely optional to be involved with the prominence events. This will last for one in-game week and end on April 5. Please remember that we are on a 3:1 day ratio!)

State of the City At Large:

The Weather
Fall appears here to stay, with all its mild breezes and crisp evenings. The temperature doesn’t seem to vary much at all, which is noted to be just a little odd by most of the locals. Also notable is the heavy fog that creeps in during the early hours of September 12; though it does disappear from time to time, the entire City appears to be blanketed in a strange grey-ness.

Crime
Crime has been curbed a little bit this week with the introduction of the curfew. Criminals are either unwilling to test the theory, or they’re just playing it safe for the time being. Though there are a number of crime groups still kicking around the City right now, most of the arrests seem to be people ignoring said curfew.

The curfew remains in place this week, despite outcry from some Chosen (and the rare citizen who simply had things to do at night) that it was unnecessary. If the Hermit’s listening, it’s not obvious. Reminders that the curfew kicks in from midnight to 6am. Ferries to the island are offered before dark, but travel during the evening hours is currently limited.

Rumours
Word in the Coliseum District is that Justice is loosening his grip on things every now and then. Things are still clearly getting done, but his apathy is the talk of many a citizen.

Though people seem to be appreciative of the renewed stability in the City of late, differing opinions used to be present in the City. This week, no matter where you go, people are oddly tight-lipped on it all. No one seems to be saying much that is worth anything, and where they used to be willing to at least discuss the weather, now not even that is an available topic. People seem afraid of something.

Additional Notes
Some of the animals in the Gardens of Pleasure remain on their easy guard duty, but others have disappeared after the festival did. No one saw them do it, so the slow decrease in animal-based security in that district is a attracting just a bit of attention.

Questions? Like to arrange a meeting with an NPC? Fire away! If you wish to arrange a meeting with an NPC, please give the mods details on what you’d like to achieve so that we’re capable of providing.

Additionally, feel free to use this as a plotting post for the upcoming week!
