WEEK 34 : Gluttony
September 04 - September 11
Like the weather’s recent changes, the City’s emotional shifts seem to take place in a gentle fashion, almost subtle enough to be ignored. That said, they’re also much harder to ignore. Whether because of whatever the Hermit believes to be coming, or simply the fact that the Moon is feeling quite prominent indeed after his festival, the urge to give in is that much more difficult to resist, even for the most resistant citizens and Chosen.
This week, the City will find itself on the other end of a series of intense cravings, mostly to try new things, usually in the form of food or drink. It doesn’t stop there, though: in some cases, the desire is also to try many new things, all in one sitting. Unfortunately, this may lead to quite a few upset stomachs, but so be it. These things happen.
(Players will decide how and to what degree their characters are affected by this and all of the prominence shifts to come. It is entirely optional to be involved with the prominence events. This will last for one in-game week and end on March 15. Please remember that we are on a 3:1 day ratio!)
State of the City At Large:
Questions? Like to arrange a meeting with an NPC? Fire away! If you wish to arrange a meeting with an NPC, please give the mods details on what you’d like to achieve so that we’re capable of providing.
Additionally, feel free to use this as a plotting post for the upcoming week!

State of the City At Large:
The Weather
Last week, fall hit. It was a gentle, creeping descent of temperature, an introduction of mild breezes, and the sudden knowledge that yes, seasons are changing. This week is much of the same, with things staying surprisingly even. If anything, it’s a little bit weird just how even the weather is this week.
Crime
Crime has been curbed a little bit this week with the introduction of the curfew. Criminals are either unwilling to test the theory, or they’re just playing it safe for the time being. Though there are a number of crime groups still kicking around the City right now, most of the arrests seem to be people ignoring said curfew.
The curfew remains in place this week, despite outcry from some Chosen (and the rare citizen who simply had things to do at night) that it was unnecessary. If the Hermit’s listening, it’s not obvious. Reminders that the curfew kicks in from midnight to 6am. Ferries to the island are offered before dark, but travel during the evening hours is currently limited.
Rumours
Word in the Coliseum District is that Justice is loosening his grip on things every now and then. Things are still clearly getting done, but his apathy is the talk of many a citizen.
On a similar note, the Moon is noted to be a City favourite. Whether this is just because of his recent festival, no one knows, but everyone seems to have had fun, even despite the curfew’s introduction.
Though people seem to be appreciative of the renewed stability in the City of late, differing opinions used to be present in the City. This week, no matter where you go, people are oddly tight-lipped on it all. No one seems to be saying much that is worth anything, opting instead to discuss the menial subjects like the weather.
Additional Notes
Some of the animals in the Gardens of Pleasure remain on their easy guard duty, but others have disappeared after the festival did. No one saw them do it, so the slow decrease in animal-based security in that district is a attracting just a bit of attention.
