Possible Scenarios 01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged! 02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running? 03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out its doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously, that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad. 04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked. 05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian. 06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank. 07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

[He doesn't look like the same boy who disappeared. He's older to start with and his hair is wild and free. It curls around his head and seems content to just be rather than being tamed by pounds of raspberry scented gel. He has on a simple black jacket too, zipped up to his neck, rather than mixed patterns and a bow tie. He seems muted, almost, as if somewhere in the missing years he stopped caring about keeping up with his complicated grooming routine. He even has a thin layer of stubble over his chin.

He's quiet for a moment, as if he isn't sure what to say]

This is the part where people my therapist says are just figments of my imagination welcome me home.

Did you remember this place when you were gone?

[He hums in acknowledgement a soft reassurance that he had, indeed, remembered.] And yet everyone says that you don't.

I haven't left since I got here, so I wouldn't know. But that's what people say. Was it clear or more like a dream?

Very clear.

This place seemed more real than home.

[He gets a little too anxious and asks what really matters] Where's David?

[prefers_magneto]

He's here. He got back a little while ago. He's staying in a flat in Finance Street.

I'll find him. [A pause] Thanks.

So, how long was I gone?

[prefers_magneto]

Better part of a year, I guess.

[offnote]

[He pauses as he takes that in] Damn...

It was a bit longer for me.

[postponing_death]

[It would be too much to hope that there isn't some sort of catch here, but when David had been in a similar situation, he had known, with 100% certainty, that no matter how things stood between them, Blaine would have contacted him if he'd been in the city.

Blaine deserves no less from him.]

Blaine?

[He has to take a moment. He just breathes for a second and then nods.]

Hey.

You look different. Good, though. Really good.

[postponing_death]

[David takes in a slow breath and lets it out just as slowly. He smiles.]

Ta.

You as well. I...you look good.

[That makes him smile in a relieved sort of way.]

Should we see how good we look in person?

[postponing_death]

I'd like that.

Yours or mine?

Yours. Erik set you up with a place right? He said you were in the Financial District but if I remember correctly you were assigned to Leisurebrook. Unless that changed?

[postponing_death]

No, I was. Erik swept in, as usual, to look after me.

[offnote]

Has anyone tried telling him you're an adult now? [At least he seems like one. And Blaine is too. He seems more amused by that than anything.]

Send me the address and I'll be there after I... uh... make sure my hair isn't too crazy. [How weird that he suddenly cares about that again.]

[ there's a part of Draco's chest that aches when he sees that face and hears that voice. That slightly pained voice, like he's not sure what's real anymore. So his greeting is like an exhale of relief, or like Blaine is a breath of much-needed air. ]

Draco! [It's weird how seeing his friend makes him start more than seeing David. David had made him ache and bleed internally. Draco makes his heart jolt into his throat.

He also feels like there was something he wanted to tell Draco, something about his home that he can't really remember.

Then he blinks and squints at the screen a bit.]

You're so young. [He frowns.] How long was I gone?

[alphaophiuchi]

[ he can tell that there's something going on, at least a bit, but he's not sure what to say. Besides that, Blaine's been gone a while, and it's abundantly clear that Blaine's gone through something as well. Now is probably not the time. ]

Not...that long. Perhaps six months. How long passed for you?

A lot more than six months.

I'm almost 30.

[alphaophiuchi]

[ he's silent, mouth opening and closing once as he processes that. ]

My gods. A- You're not. Are you?

I am. [He raises his brow a bit]

It's been... [He rubs the back of his head. Once again he has a weird feeling that he wants to tell Draco something and doesn't remember what it was.] A while.

It's really good to see you though.

[alphaophiuchi]

And you. You're looking good, for certain.

Though I suppose I've also established myself as having a bit of a thing for older men. [ a faint chuckle. He's trying hard. ]

How are you?

I'm.... [He almost lies, but this is Draco and lying to Draco just feels wrong.]

I'm not sure if I'm really here or just hallucinating while in a catatonic state.
