Possible Scenarios 01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged! 02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running? 03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out its doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously, that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad. 04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked. 05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian. 06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank. 07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

[He smiles, his voice low.] We are.

Did you ever...did it get better at all?

[Blaine frowns a bit] I learned to handle things. I'm older now. I had to move on.

[Then, teasing a bit] It feels weird to almost be 30 and hung up on someone you fell in love with when you were in high school... [It's teasing to keep it light but in truth it hadn't just been David that had made going back hard. The entire fact of the multiverse had been something he was wholly unable to communicate properly.]

[David would honestly be surprised if missing him had been the hardest thing for Blaine.]

I know the feeling. [His tone is dry, but he squeezes Blaine's hand.]

You mean... That pretty boy from your school? [He can't remember Dakin's name and honestly makes him feel amused.]

Dakin?

[He laughs, though the memory of how he met Matthew makes him blush a little.]

No, I mean the pretty boy from Ohio.

Hey that's a little too close to home. I'll have to beat that guy up and show that I got there first.

[He's openly joking now, relaxing more and more the longer they're talking. They both knew he wouldn't actually beat anyone up, even if they were talking about him.]

Please don't. I'm rather fond of his face.

[His free hand comes up to touch Blaine's cheek.]

[Blaine tilts a bit into the touch.]

He likes your face too.

Well, that's lucky, isn't it?

[Smiling, he strokes his thumb over Blaine's cheek.]

I'd like to kiss you. May I?

Please. [The reply is immediate and holds more emotion in it than Blaine knows what to do with. Instead of waiting he leans forward and closes the distance between them to kiss David. The kiss is not as desperate and needy and he feels. He manages to be tentative, testing, almost like he's afraid he's going to wake up and this will all have been a dream.]

[David matches his tone, leaning into the kiss but not pushing it further. His hand curls around the back of Blaine's head, fingers sliding into his hair.]

[Blaine pulls back after a while, too worried if he keeps kissing David he'll fall in and be unable to pull himself back out. He doesn't pull away entirely, though, he stays close and offers David a smile.]

So you really like the hair, don't you? [It sounds stupid to his ears, but he can't help but enjoy David's hand there and remember the comments David had about his gel.]

[David doesn't really pull back either. His fingers stay in Blaine's hair, carding through the curls.]

I do. I always have, if I recall correctly.

[Blaine chuckles a bit.] I do seem to remember you liking it after we'd wake up or take a shower together... [As he says the words he starts to feel as if his heart is warming up with the realization that this was real and happening. He causes him to smile a bit more, the expression more settled and pleased.] And other things too.

And other things, yes.

[Seeing Blaine smiling like that relaxes him as well. His fingers trail down Blaine's neck and come to rest on his chest.]

[Blaine moves his hand to touch David's arm.] I.. I haven't asked how long you've been back? And how long were you away this time?

Not long. A few weeks. That I've been back, at least.

I was gone...eighteen years?

[offnote]

[Blaine narrows his eyes a bit in that 'doing math' sort of way.] What have you been doing those 18 years?

[postponing_death]

Well, I...went to Oxford. After I graduated, I worked in London for a bit, copyediting. Then I went into teaching.

[He hesitates a bit, unsure if he should share this, but Blaine was so open with him.]

I...tried again. To...to kill myself. Only once, and it was...

Well.

[offnote]

[Blaine looks down and steadies himself.] I did too. [He admits, after a long moment of quiet]

I'm sorry you had to go through that by yourself.

I wasn't quite alone.

[He takes Blaine's hand again.]

I hope you weren't either.

[Blaine moves his hand to intertwine his fingers with David. He doesn't really answer to that. It's like the words feel choked in his throat.]

Teaching is good, though. That seems like something you'd be good at.

[postponing_death]

[David notes his lack of answer, but he can't fault Blaine for it. It wasn't an easy thing to talk about.]

I enjoy it, at least. I'm not sure how good I am.

[offnote]

[Blaine chuckled softly.] You're brilliant. [He says so with total confidence.]

You're also still older than I am. I just turned 28. One day, we'll wake up here and you'll be younger just to mess with us. [He's joking but he also thinks it might very well happen.]

[David smirks, shifting a bit to lean closer to Blaine, shoulders touching.]

I wouldn't be surprised. Then you can be the cradle-robber.
