State of the City : Forgetfulness

WEEK 44 : Forgetfulness
November 13 - 19
This week in the City, there’s … Wait, we forgot what we were talking about. Was it important? Oh, we hope not. But never mind that! That’s all right, it couldn’t have been too important! If it is, we’ll surely remember it later. Everything in the City is just fine!

(Players will decide how and to what degree their characters are affected by this and all of the prominence shifts to come. It is entirely optional to be involved with the prominence events. This will last for one in-game week and end on October 11. Please remember that we are on a 3:1 day ratio!)

State of the City At Large:

The Weather
Mornings remain slightly drizzly, though the rest of the day does appear to be slightly more pleasant. Still not enough to warrant shirtsleeves and shorts, though. It is, once more, sweater weather, everyone! Just...don’t forget your scarf somewhere. You need that.

Crime
There seems to be a larger influx of Lust infiltrating the City once more, vexing the CSPD thoroughly. No related deaths have turned up yet, but they’re not holding their breath that that will remain true.

There is still the odd flicker of darkness outside the corner of everyone’s eyes. This seems to be creeping out a few of the local small fries, because a lot of the more minor crimes seem to be taking place during earlier hours of the evening, when it’s still bright out.

Oddly, it’s been rumoured that the CSPD has noted things to tie back to just a few individuals, suggesting that crime is getting more organised. What this means for the City, we can’t say.

Rumours
Some individuals have reported sightings of strange shadows lingering just out of their peripheral vision. They can’t quite say what they are, but it feels very much like they’re being followed.

The source of the rumor is rather fuzzy, but some of the natives have got it into their heads that Temperance, the newest Magistrate of Finance Street, collects dollhouse furniture. Not the dolls or dollhouses: just the furniture. Miniature beds and tables and toilets and lamps, etc. The more enterprising among them may have taken the opportunity to send new pieces for his collection as congratulatory gifts.

The static electricity build-up in the air of the City is said to be getting worse. Being zapped is more and more common these days, growing even worse as the week goes on. Minor burns are being reported by the hospital.

The plants reported last week by some citizens in Leisurebrook and the Coliseum District seem to be growing at a rapid rate not normally seen in plants. They’re reaching about knee height now, partly resemble venus flytraps or other carnivorous flowers, and sometimes growl. Ivy is still creeping along the buildings, covering some walls almost entirely. There's no news on if it growls too.

Lastly, the odd citizen has complained to the CSPD about doors leading to random places that they shouldn’t have been going. So far, it seems minor, and most people aren’t sure what to do about it.
