Possible Scenarios
Please note that all characters will initially arrive in their assigned housing; they are free to explore the City to their heart's content after that!01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach churning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party in the Tower District that spills out its doors in welcome. Obviously, this whole thing is weird and you don't know who your hosts are, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences its population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride: choose your sin and be wicked.
05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villain.
06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.
07. Network: There's a network device in your pocket - or at least a familiar object that seems to work in mysterious ways. Perhaps you can take to that and ask for a bit of help? Or maybe you'd prefer to have a little fun with all of this. Surely someone will reply.
08. Wild Card:Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!
Azrael | Lucifer
This. Isn't how that's supposed to work.
Azrael sits bolt upright in the strange, random bed she's - landed... in? - lying on, and stares at the apartment around her. It's sure as Hell not hers - she doesn't own a bed, first of all, she's a frickin' angel--
Speaking of. She tucks her wings away before she heads outside - so in the halls of this weird-ass hotel, and very shortly thereafter, out in the streets outside, there's a young woman in casual modern clothes looking very confused.
"Okay, so this definitely isn't Hell, but it's also not Detroit, so..."
There's a lot of pacing back and forth immediately outside the hotel she just exited, with the occasional flailing of thin limbs as she tries to logic this one out.
07.
It doesn't take her long to find the cellphone in her pocket. Which is another weird thing, because she doesn't own one of these either.
But thanks to years of hanging around Ella (not to mention a lot of other humans) she's got the general gist of how it works. And it's not like it's hard, either.
So she sends out a mass text.
does anyone have any idea on where exactly this is supposed to be
bc its not hell, and its definitely not the silver city, and unless all of ellas comics are real then i dont have many other options and thats so frickin weird you guys
03.
She sneaks her way into the big fancy to-do party (which. Isn't hard when it's not even contained within the confines of a single building anymore), and...
Lurks, mostly.
She's been to a few of these before, kind of. People have a really nasty habit of getting murdered during them, she's found, so she doesn't actually know what to do when she's at one properly. And now she's feeling more than a bit underdressed. But would her angel form be too much?
When she finds a food table, she hangs around that and starts picking up bits of every plate with obvious suspicion, sniffing everything carefully before she puts it in her mouth. And more often than not, just putting things back where she got them from.
03
Off in one corner, he's whispering seductively into the ear of a woman dressed to the nines. Or at least, he is, until he looks over her shoulder, and sees a face he hasn't seen for a long, long time. With a clenched jaw and a whispered apology to the woman, he stalks over towards Azrael.
"Well well well," he says, his voice cold. "Look who it is, popping up like a bad penny. Did Dad send you?"
no subject
"What are you... what're you talking about Lu, Dad hasn't sent me anywhere since Egypt - the whole Moses thing, you know? I just--" She shrugs, bodily. "Woke up here."

"Oh, bloody hell. Why is everyone else from the future?" he grumbles, before swiping the nearest alcoholic drink from the table and downing it.
no subject
"I'm sorry, Lu. For... never visiting. And not making sure you were okay, after. Everything." She'd hoped this would be easier the second time over, but mostly it just hurts again. "I was always busy with work, but... I should've tried to make time, even if it's awkward after... a few. Thousand years. You're my favourite big brother."

"Though that doesn't explain what you're doing here." Whether that be in the City, or this particular party.

It's called the City of Sin. But not the same one from the Earth you're familiar with.

no subject
We don't. We're stuck here until whoever brought us here decides to send us back again.
no subject
has anyone tried going up and asking what the folks in charge want? or is it the thing where it's radio silence and we have to kind of interpret it for ourselves
no subject
Mostly the second. They're not the approachable sort.

so is there anywhere easy for a newbie to find where we could meet up in person? bc i am kind of lost already.
no subject
The Coliseum and the Tower are pretty easy to find. We could meet outside one of those.
no subject
It takes her some time to get there, admittedly, when she's still lost and confused, but she makes it to what looks like the main entrance and waits to one side, hands linked awkwardly in front of her chest.
