January 01 - 07
Maybe it’s entirely because of the fact that things went so well last week, or maybe it’s just because it’s a new year, but either way, citizens and Chosen of the City are definitely suffering from big heads. There isn’t a single thing you can’t take on and succeed at, even if the guy next to you has a goal that’s the polar opposite. Somehow, both of you believe this is going to go well for yourself. Here’s hoping people don’t fight to the death over things. It’s just a little pride.
(Players will decide how and to what degree their characters are affected by this and all of the prominence shifts to come. It is entirely optional to be involved with the prominence events. This will last for one in-game week and end on March 7. Please remember that we are on a 3:1 day ratio!)

The Weather
It’s still chilly, but thankfully, a good portion of the City has been shovelled out from the snow. It shouldn’t be an issue much anymore, and everyone is hoping for nicer weather in the coming weeks.
Crime
There seems to be a larger influx of Lust infiltrating the City once more, vexing the CSPD thoroughly. A few Lust-related deaths appear to have happened, though there is nothing to suggest foul play or anything worse than an unfortunate accident.
Besides that, things are...weirdly quiet.
Rumours
After Justice’s failure to appear at the New Year’s Eve celebrations, people are wondering what exactly happened to him. Some of those in the Coliseum District are feeling a bit under the weather without their Magistrate, but there’s no confirmation as to whether or not it’s related.
Security around the Tower’s immediate area is still tightened up, but most people don’t really want to hang out there anyway. No one’s complaining.
Most people, in fact, are still talking about how great the New Year’s Eve festival was. People are singing the Emperor’s praises (and that’s just how he likes it).
There’s a rumour or two that things in Finance Street got briefly bumpy, but there’s no actual record of it happening. If a tree falls in a forest and no one’s around to hear it, did it make a sound?
