Possible Scenarios01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out its doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously, that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.
05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.
06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.
07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

Still, he hadn't expected to see it here.
"Narcissa."
He's almost surprised by the way his heart leaps at the sight of her. Almost.
His guitar gets hastily set aside as he pulls himself to his feet. "You're here! I...thought I was the only one."
no subject
First things first.
"It's really you?" He's up, so she lets her lunch float gently to settle by his guitar and reaches out hesitantly. "Your playing caught my attention - you're really here?"
Slight hyperventilating as one of the few people she genuinely adored in the old city is now here in front of her just as she was watching that number dwindle to less than she can count on her hand.
no subject
He is glad to see her, after all, though he's not quite sure why she's so very glad to see him.
no subject
And she's probably seeming rather strange right now, but he was one of her best friends and his loss has been felt keenly, though she'd hoped he was happy. To have him here again is a mixed bag of sorrow that he's been taken again, and selfish, delighted glee at having her friend back.
no subject
"I hope you'd know it anywhere. There's nothing like it." He pulls back a bit, his hands on her arms, and looks at her curiously. "But it really hasn't been that long, has it?"
He's been playing less often than usual, but he hadn't given it up or anything.
no subject
She gestures gracefully at the park, but means the city in general.
"Rather a lot has changed in a year."
no subject
The city has changed. Apollo is gone, and....
"Oh," he says with a frown. "I see."
Sort of. There are questions, but the time thing? That's easy enough to accept. What's a little time jump to someone like him? Especially only a year's worth.
no subject
He's a quick study, she knows, but it's still uncomfortable to watch someone come to the realisation they're a stranger in a strange land again.
"Welcome to the City of Sin," she offers ruefully. "They didn't bother gussying up the name this go-round."
no subject
He's long been a fan of sinning. It's an intriguing notion.
"You've been here a year? Alone? Or...?"
no subject
Sinning is a secretly delightful notion, sometimes. Her own has tripped her up on occasion, but there are others she goes along with quite willingly. And frequently.
"Not exactly. The Magistrates," and the word is capitalised, "don't admit it happened, but a dozen or so of us somehow managed to stay in the old city when it died. Or imploded. Something significant that no ones been able to pin down... and still others have found their way back."
She frowns, then smoothes her expression.
"You'd know them," she tells him. "Aramis. Erik, Draco, Jack... Diana. Handy, too, I think. David."
no subject
"Julian? Blaine?"
At least her Frenchman made it. That's something.
no subject
No sense in sugar coating it.
And her Frenchman did make it, and is now very much hers. There were vows and legal documents. She'd have liked him to be there, but circumstances...
"...are you hungry? The sandwiches at the cafe I get my lunch from are absolutely enormous. We can share."
no subject
"Poor David," he says, shaking his head.
But her offer reminds him that he hasn't actually eaten anything today, and he smiles. "Some things remain constant, I see." He appreciates her need to look after him, though. It's a pleasant change from what he'd become used to.
no subject
"He's still educating the masses through poetry," she replies, head tilting. "So he's not doing too badly."
His smile draws forth her own, and she gestures an invitation to sit back down on the grass. Her skirt is charmed against dirt and stains, so she won't mind sitting with him under the tree.
"I can't help it. You're terrible at looking after yourself."
no subject
Dropping easily back to the grass, he makes himself comfortable. "And it's been a year since the City...imploded?"
no subject
The brown paper bag is opened, and she unwraps a huge chicken and salad sandwich cut into two triangles, offering it to him.
"Mm-hmm. We were still in the old City last February, then there was an unexplainable event and we woke here on January first, last year." She frowns. "It feels significantly longer."
no subject
When she finishes he waves a hand not-quite not-dismissively. "Time. It's...not worth counting on."
For him, after all, it feels like a day.
"What have you been up to, then? In that year."
no subject
"Well," she begins in answer, once her bite of sandwich is swallowed. "I... was the first of the Chosen - that's what they call us, here - to die."
Nasty piece of business, that was.
"Murder by slow poisoning," she adds, then takes another neat bite.
no subject
"That's one I've not tried," he admitted. "I can't imagine it was pleasant."
He leans toward her just a bit, shoulder touching hers, providing warmth, at least, and as much support as she might wish.
no subject
"Not particularly, no," she agrees. "There's a drug here called Lust. It's wonderful, until it melts your insides. No one knew I'd return, so I had the added trauma of waking in a morgue."
And all that entails. She has a very specific set of scars on her head and torso, now.
"But I also married Aramis."
And there's her smile.
no subject
And intriguing, though he doesn't say that out loud. New city, new vices.
At her smile, he grins, though, brightly. "Congratulations. I hope your Frenchman knows how lucky he is."
no subject
But subject change!
He gets a bright smile.
"I think he does, and it's lovely of you to say so." Another tiny bite. "I hope, if you stay a while, that you'd come visit on occasion."
no subject
"I would be honored to be your guest, Madame..." He laughs, considering. "Did you take his name?"
no subject
"...d'Aramis," she provides, with a soft smile that lights her eyes. "I did. It seems odd to me not to do so, and I know I'm nearly half a century behind most everyone else here, but it's simply how I am."
