Possible Scenarios01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filing the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out it's doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.
05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.
06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With it's open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.
07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

"Please?" he asked softly.
Following her, the immortal's eyes drift across the area. Good. It was the reason he left it to her, and figured she'd eventually start making things her own. But even with the little personal items he sees now, Caius got a sense she didn't really want to completely move in and make it hers. In fact, a lot of his things were still scattered about, left in the exact same spots he remembered leaving them.
Sliding a chair out to sit at the table, Caius watched her over the island. His brow pinched, but his lips twitched in an amused, albeit confused face. "You got arrested. How the hell did that happen?"
He'll get to what happened at Halloween in a minute..
no subject
"Fine." She huffed at him again.
After setting the coffee in front of him, she turned back to get herself a cup too. At one time she had been the type to drink it with a ton of milk and sugar but, over time, she trained herself to drink it black. So it wasn't long before she was cradling her cup between her hands and turning to face him again, leaning casually against the counter while she looked at him.
"I was walking home when this guy started walking behind me. Looking back now, I don't think he was doing anything wrong but I just got really...freaked out." And she had good reasons for it too. "I told him to stop and I was so sure he told me no. After that, I don't know. The next thing I remember, he is laying on the ground and I'm being screamed at by some cops to stop hitting him. He's fine but I feel horrible over it."
She sighed. "I don't even know what came over me."
no subject
Caius took a cautious sip of his own black coffee and let out a soft sigh. Fucking City.. he thought. "Has this happened before? Or, since?"
He doesn't remember her mentioning it while he was here anyway.
no subject
Yes, she was aware of how lame that sounded. She was pretty sure that no one had really noticed though which suited her fine. Then she smiled again. "Of course that means I end up with a shameful amount of baking just for one person."
no subject
His grin turned up again as he lifted his mug, but before he sipped he has to ask, "Well, now there's two people and you already know how much I love food, so.."
Swallowing up a mouthful of coffee, his smile disappeared again and she could probably anticipate now where Caius was going to steer the conversation.
"So how is the club doing? And what did I miss on Halloween that was lumped into you getting arrested. Did something happen?"
no subject
"The club is doing fine. It sucked not having you around but we held our own." She nodded, shifting to move forward so she could lean against the island while she continues talking to him. "We had to shut down for a few days though. There was an attack at the Halloween party that was being thrown here and there was some damage because of it. But don't worry! It's all as good as new."
no subject
Hearing about the party wasn't the problem. He likely would have done the same thing if he never went anywhere. What got him was the actual 'attack' part.
"What do you mean an attack? Demons, or actual an actual citizen attacking another? And where was Gork?" Being that his friend was one himself he might have been able to do something.
no subject
A slight pause and a faint smirk. "Well, if I could get a heart attack, that is."
no subject
"Inside the club? What the fuck happened? What sort of aftermath are we talking?" he questioned in rapid fire.
Was there even a business left to run? It wasn't something he was able to notice since he came in from the back.
no subject
"Just a bit of damage but nothing that wasn't fixable. Lydia got some people to help so we could work day and night to get things cleaned up. We're good to go again." She reassured him, laying her hand on his arm to give it a gentle squeeze. "Sorry, I didn't mean to freak you out."
no subject
Expression softens at the physical contact and he visibly breathes.
"It's fine, I just want to know happened. Was this the City's doing?"
He expects yes given it had to do with a demon. But be damned if he didn't want to know if the attack was on the place itself, or a person in particular.
"Was anyone hurt?"
no subject
"It probably was. Isn't it always the City's doing?" She asked before sighing. "There was injuries, even some serious ones, but I don't think anyone died? Don't quote me on that though. The best person to ask would be Lydia because she was there. She was shaken up, I think, but she held it together."
"Other than that, I don't think you missed much. But again, don't ask me because I'm sort of a hermit these days."
no subject
"I'll go down and see her later." A pause and he got serious again, brow pinched in curiosity. "Why's that? Being a hermit I mean."
Of, course, he knew what she meant. Had he the choice the Roman would stick around home and futz with one thing, or another.
no subject
Then she shrugged a little. "I don't know. It's just how I feel lately. Maybe it's just a world weary...something, I don't know."
She wasn't sure she could explain it. Maybe it was the events of the last few weeks that had made her want to stay in but she was feeling a strange disconnect from most things. She mulled it over as she leaned against his side, her gaze growing distant for a moment until she remembered that she wasn't alone in the apartment anymore. "I'm sure that's normal, isn't it?"
no subject
"Come here," he instructed, turning her easily before bringing her down to sit on his lap in a perpendicular fashion. Both arms around her waist and he looked at her with a warm expression of support. "Sometimes, but you are thinking more like an immortal now. Do you even realise how casual you sounded when you said 'no one died'? It's normal, but you can't focus on that."
no subject
Looking down at Caius as he caught her arm, she gracefully turned into the move as he tugged her down onto his lap like it was a natural move for them both. The ease of it caused a small smile to tug at the corners of her mouth at first but then she blinked before looking almost sheepish. "Did I really sound that bad?"
no subject
Caius sighed a little and shook his head. There was nothing he could say that would make any of it any easier. It was a curse, in the end. One she would have to deal with her on her own in her world. But by the way he tightened his hold around her warmly, she wasn't alone there in the City.
After that serious moment passed, he smiled again. "But you don't get to be a hermit here. Not while I'm around."
no subject
Maybe that was a fate she couldn't escape.
"Oh yeah?" She asked once the moment passed and she could look at him again, smirking. "And just how are you going to do that? Storm into my place and drag me out every chance you get?"
no subject
Subconsciously he was thinking about that ever since she first mentioned it. He'd pretty much given it to her. Now, he didn't exactly know he'd be back either, which Caius can understand why Claire might have thought she had to leave.
"How good of a roommate are you?"
no subject
Reaching up, she toyed with a lock of his hair before glancing at his face in slight surprise at the question. It really shouldn't have surprised her but she found herself smirking a moment later. "I think I make a pretty good room mate. I'm neat, I smell good and I cook. It really can't get better than that, right?
"So you want me to stay?" She gave him a curious look.
no subject
Another grin. "You do smell good." Caius agreed with a snerk. He regarded her, obviously teasing her with a few long seconds of thought as he pondered her question.
"Yeah, I want you to stay. Sharing bills will save me a little cash." he joked because no, that wasn't the reason he wanted her to stay. He enjoyed being around her and the Roman was pretty sure she enjoyed his.
Not only that but he worried about the whole business of her becoming a hermit. Nothing good ever came out of that. Caius knew from experience there.
no subject
Making a soft humming noise while nodding, she decided he was right about the fact that sharing bills would save him cash. It would help her a little bit too. Especially with the plans she had forming in her head which would require her buying her own supplies. Wetting her lips, she shifted on his lap so she could sit straight again.
"Okay." She smiled. "Then I'll stay. I'll crash on the couch until we can get the other room set up."
no subject
When Claire straightened though, his arms went loose again. "Nah, you take the bedroom. I'm fine with couching it. I'll get myself re-acquainted with the club and then start on a couple new projects up here. That room being one of them."
no subject
"Plus it's technically your place. So you should take the bed and the bedroom." She lifted a hand to brush some hair back from his face without a second thought. "Okay?"
no subject
He looked at her, prepared now to cut her off if she tried to protest any further.
