Possible Scenarios
01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!

02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filing the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?

03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out it's doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.

04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.

05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.

06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With it's open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.

07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

Claire understood why he was freaking out a little, especially knowing what he had put into the place and how much care he had shown it. That was partially why she tried so hard to look after it and not to change much. Maybe because she had been holding out hope that he would come back.

"It probably was. Isn't it always the City's doing?" She asked before sighing. "There was injuries, even some serious ones, but I don't think anyone died? Don't quote me on that though. The best person to ask would be Lydia because she was there. She was shaken up, I think, but she held it together."

"Other than that, I don't think you missed much. But again, don't ask me because I'm sort of a hermit these days."

He wasn't sure why, but the comment Claire made and the nonchalance that seemed to follow it had him almost burst into laughter and the pull of his lips alluded to that. Caius nodded in understanding though, and took another drink of his coffee.

"I'll go down and see her later." A pause and he got serious again, brow pinched in curiosity. "Why's that? Being a hermit I mean."

Of, course, he knew what she meant. Had he the choice the Roman would stick around home and futz with one thing, or another.

Claire caught the near laughter and the reaction had her brows drawing together in a brief glimmer of confusion. She hadn't caught on to what she said and how it might seem strange or so nonchalant. She hadn't realized how 'immortal' she had started becoming these days.

Then she shrugged a little. "I don't know. It's just how I feel lately. Maybe it's just a world weary...something, I don't know."

She wasn't sure she could explain it. Maybe it was the events of the last few weeks that had made her want to stay in but she was feeling a strange disconnect from most things. She mulled it over as she leaned against his side, her gaze growing distant for a moment until she remembered that she wasn't alone in the apartment anymore. "I'm sure that's normal, isn't it?"

The change in behavior had him putting down his mug and reaching to take her other arm, fingers wrapping loosely around her wrist to pull her closer. He could tell she was having some trouble with something, maybe even her immortality and all the downfalls that came with it. Caius understood.

"Come here," he instructed, turning her easily before bringing her down to sit on his lap in a perpendicular fashion. Both arms around her waist and he looked at her with a warm expression of support. "Sometimes, but you are thinking more like an immortal now. Do you even realise how casual you sounded when you said 'no one died'? It's normal, but you can't focus on that."

Claire hadn't even realized the drastic slip in her behavior or how quickly it had come on. It would probably remind her of the times she had sat and talked to Adam back in the Village, and how her heart had ached for him when he talked about the long years that he had spent locked up. It had been overwhelming at times to think that could be her. Not the locked up part but the immortality and what it meant. What it truly meant.

Looking down at Caius as he caught her arm, she gracefully turned into the move as he tugged her down onto his lap like it was a natural move for them both. The ease of it caused a small smile to tug at the corners of her mouth at first but then she blinked before looking almost sheepish. "Did I really sound that bad?"

"A little, especially given you haven't reached the 100 year mark yet." Caius said, eyes looking up at her. He was giving her a half smile, one that was more sympathetic than anything else. For him, it took a lot longer and it wasn't anyone that caught him saying it. He caught himself.

Caius sighed a little and shook his head. There was nothing he could say that would make any of it any easier. It was a curse, in the end. One she would have to deal with her on her own in her world. But by the way he tightened his hold around her warmly, she wasn't alone there in the City.

After that serious moment passed, he smiled again. "But you don't get to be a hermit here. Not while I'm around."

Claire's gaze flickered down to his collarbone when she found it hard to meet his eyes. Somehow it bothered her to hear the hundred year mark and she couldn't stop herself from thinking of the dark future that Peter had warned her about. It was something she hadn't really talked about with anyone else though she wondered if more and more glimpses of that possibility were still there. Even if supposedly the events leading to then had changed.

Maybe that was a fate she couldn't escape.

"Oh yeah?" She asked once the moment passed and she could look at him again, smirking. "And just how are you going to do that? Storm into my place and drag me out every chance you get?"

Amusement colored his face at the mental image of doing just that, but then he gave a casual shrug and shook his head. "About that. So why do you think that now that I'm back I'm going to make you move back out again?"

Subconsciously he was thinking about that ever since she first mentioned it. He'd pretty much given it to her. Now, he didn't exactly know he'd be back either, which Caius can understand why Claire might have thought she had to leave.

"How good of a roommate are you?"

"I don't know." She hummed as she watched him. "I just figured that you would want the club and the apartment again now that you're back. I wouldn't want to keep you out of either one."

Reaching up, she toyed with a lock of his hair before glancing at his face in slight surprise at the question. It really shouldn't have surprised her but she found herself smirking a moment later. "I think I make a pretty good room mate. I'm neat, I smell good and I cook. It really can't get better than that, right?

"So you want me to stay?" She gave him a curious look.

He listened, vivid blue eyes glancing around the place and to a few of those odd knick knacks that she'd brought in; the mugs they were drinking out of were different, as well as some baking things in a little aluminum can to the right of the stove. A teddy bear cookie jar. It wasn't stuff he bought, and yet, it made the place a little more comfortable for her.

Another grin. "You do smell good." Caius agreed with a snerk. He regarded her, obviously teasing her with a few long seconds of thought as he pondered her question.

"Yeah, I want you to stay. Sharing bills will save me a little cash." he joked because no, that wasn't the reason he wanted her to stay. He enjoyed being around her and the Roman was pretty sure she enjoyed his.

Not only that but he worried about the whole business of her becoming a hermit. Nothing good ever came out of that. Caius knew from experience there.

Claire had to press her lips together a little more to keep herself from smiling too much when he agreed that she smelled good. It was nice to be teased again and it was enough to make her lean into him for another sort of hug while he thought over the question.

Making a soft humming noise while nodding, she decided he was right about the fact that sharing bills would save him cash. It would help her a little bit too. Especially with the plans she had forming in her head which would require her buying her own supplies. Wetting her lips, she shifted on his lap so she could sit straight again.

"Okay." She smiled. "Then I'll stay. I'll crash on the couch until we can get the other room set up."

His arms went around her a little tighter and Caius realised how badly he thirsted for a bit of that human touch. Abigail had distanced herself from him, for her own reasons. She was the closest person to him and during the two years he was gone from the City, the immortal didn't really recall giving anyone a hug, least of all her. So this was nice.

When Claire straightened though, his arms went loose again. "Nah, you take the bedroom. I'm fine with couching it. I'll get myself re-acquainted with the club and then start on a couple new projects up here. That room being one of them."

"Exactly, you're going to be busy trying to get things straight and to get back into the routine of being here. You're going to need to sleep at times and so you should be comfortable." She countered with a stubborn little shake of her head, giving him a look that said not to argue with her. It was probably a look that didn't work so well when she was perched on his lap.

"Plus it's technically your place. So you should take the bed and the bedroom." She lifted a hand to brush some hair back from his face without a second thought. "Okay?"

"Nope." Caius shook his head stubbornly. "I've made up my mind and you are taking the bedroom. There is no winning this argument, bella." Caius said, shaking his head. He was firm on his decision despite the cute little smile edging upwards at the corners of his lips.

He looked at her, prepared now to cut her off if she tried to protest any further.

It was hard to say if Claire recognized the intention to cut her off if she said anymore or if she merely felt the need to keep him quiet but she was quick to cover his mouth with a hand while she held his gaze. "Fine, let's compromise in a way. We'll share the room. We're adults and more than capable of doing so without it being weird, right?"

A pause. "Just nod if you agree."
