Harvest Festival
Event: Harvest Festival
In the few days before August 31st, inhabitants of the City might notice a little activity in the Gardens of Pleasure. One city block has been blocked off from traffic and over the days, stalls have been constructed on the sidewalk. Your favorite restaurant or cafe in the District? Busy little beavers, carting in extra goods and stocking up. What’s going on, you ask?
We’ll tell you.
The Moon would like to thank the Chosen for going and dealing with the Magistrates' little ‘problem’ on the island, and he’s doing it with a Festival. Set in something akin to a Japanese Summer Festival, there will be food, games and a few rides to express one Magistrate's gratitude for a job ...done.
The Moon will also be giving out small gifts to those who participated in the actual clearing of the island. Earthen, nature style jewelry, small trinkets, oils: that sort of thing. These gifts will arrive via animal, without prior Character knowledge, and Players will be able to request the items they want to receive in this post.
As such, we ask that all characters who participated in the Island Plot (ie: went to the island and spoke to or fought with demons in some regard) fill in the following form with their desired gift. Keep in mind that it does need to be a relatively small object.The Moon wants to show his gratitude for their help, but isn’t in the business of giving people massive, useful things, unfortunately.
Keep in mind that the mods may ask to tweak a gift if it doesn’t seem appropriate for whatever reason.
The festival will span two days, August 31st and September 1st (OOCly February 12th - 17th), and there will be a party style log posted for your RP pleasure.

FAQ
- Will our characters be sent any kind of invitation?
Not strictly speaking, no, but any NPC working in or around the area of the Gardens will tell you that something big is getting set up. They’re only given the materials and instructions.
- What if my character didn’t participate in the Island Event?
If you didn’t participate in the Island Event, then your character isn’t eligible for the Moon’s more personal gifts. Sorry kids, can’t get paid for what you didn’t do but the Moon welcomes you to the festivities. It is for all of you, anyway.
- Is anything going to be for free?
Yes, actually. In the name of marketing, all the food and drink vendors will be giving out free samples, though they’ll be very firm about one per customer. Someone with limited to no funds will still be able to indulge in the feasting, if they’re smart about it.
- Will any of the Magistrates be in attendance for characters to interact with?
No. While the Moon is nice enough to throw this shindig, he’s not going to play host and the Magistrates aren’t that social this week.
- How late is this going each day? I thought there was a curfew.
For all intents and purposes, the curfew shouldn't be incurred by anyone attending the festival. Festivities will wrap up around 11pm in order to account for people getting home after the fact.
