Possible Scenarios01. A New Arrival: You've just arrived in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a very strange sense of having been displaced. Thankfully, you don't appear to be alone. Here's hoping that person passing by is helpful, and doesn't plan on mugging you or something!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Maybe you'll find someone who can help you fight off that shadowy thing that's creeping towards you!
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: People have been telling you all about the City influencing your thoughts and feelings. You’re finally getting to experience that. One of the sins is in prominence, and you’re feeling the force of it fully.
05. Welcome to Fight Club: You’ve been dragged unwillingly into the Coliseum and told to fight some of your fellow Chosen to the death. Are you willing to comply? Or would you rather sacrifice yourself
06. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure!
Ashe Corven || The Crow City of Angels || Scenarios 3
He might not belong, but what guy turns down free beer? Not one with some of their marbles left. Ashe had gotten his hands on a suit, black with off white pinstripes. It looked nice, and his hair slicked back so he looked a little more respectable. Like he used to for Church. This was not chruch thought, he could tell that easy enough as he made his way in, his green eyes scanning the room of others invited. Quite a party indeed.

"I take it you're new around here."
no subject
"Makes sense, its what I bought it for. The way I see it a man should own at least one suit good enough for church to be buried in." Morbid, maybe, but he smiled as he said it, his accept was a little strange, close to french but mixed with something else. "Yes, I've not been here long. My name's Ashe." He spoke offering a hand over.
no subject
"Erik."
He nodded vaguely towards the outside world.
"What district did you end up in?"
no subject
"Nice to make your acquaintance."
Ashe actually looked the direction Erik had motioned before nodding, who really knew if it was at the question or in general. "The Coliseum District, it's pretty nice."
no subject
"So what do you think?"
no subject
"It's... strange but not bad." He answered honestly, looking out at the crowd. "I am not really used to events like this, but being new it is a welcomed strange." Back home he was broke, and no one of means would have invited him to do more than play under their hood.
no subject
But that was a long time ago. He took a sip of his drink.
"Anyone you know live here?"
no subject
He shook his head some at that, scanning over the room once more. "Not a soul one that I have come across. Is it something that happens often? People you know coming coming here?" He asked, an idle ping in his chest, a low desperate wish that maybe his son may come... maybe Sarah. A dead man can dream after all.

It was also her third glass and she sipped it from her barstool lazily with an apathetic stare over the crowd. If nothing else, she had to admit that it was worth coming, just to see everyone else all dressed up and getting drunk, like their lives weren't all a little chaotic and messy.

"Just another beer." he spoke, his strange accent screamed the old world. Hard to place but, a nice accent all the same. A bit of his slicked back hair had fallen from place so he ran a hand through his hair, a small clearly woman's engagement ring was on his left ring finger. In the moment of fixing his hair he noticed the woman sitting beside where he stood, just a simple smile offered. "Hello."
no subject
“Hello,” she returned after his greeting, lips canting in a crooked little half smirk. “I haven’t seen you around before -” And faces she knew, “You a new addition to our little.. commune?”
no subject
"I'm Ashe." He finally offered his name, after all she was a beauty.
no subject
“Devi,” she replied, shifting so as to more fully face him but not offering a hand or anything in greeting. “You came at the right time, at least. Nothing like free food and an open bar. Your accents curious, pardon my asking but.. where’s it from?”
no subject
He had to ponder it a moment. He hadn't really planned to tell anyone but she's cute and well, the accent did get attention. "Switzerland." It seemed easier than breaking it down some. He didn't miss the place at all. "And what about yours?" She sounded like she belonged in the City of Angel. Granted, she looked like it to, just not strung out.
no subject
"Switzerland," she repeats, crafted eyebrows arching in time as she adjusts a little, head tilting slightly as she smirks and glances him up and down. Well, Switzerland didn't do too badly at all.
"San Jose, California. Of course, I'd say I don't have an accent at all, but I think I'd get called out on it. That'll make this your first City party then? What do you think of it's glamour?"
Nevermind that the city obviously hadn't pulled out all the stops, it did well enough without them, regardless.
no subject
"It's a nice place, I suppose." He answered before a laugh finally escaped. "That explains it. You do have an accent. I had a feeling it was California. I've lived in the City of Angel's the past decade or so. Los Angeles." He didn't see a need to clarify, most knew it was LA. He shifted so he could look at the crowd, holding the beer as he put his back to the bar. His eyes going back to her each time he or she spoke. "Yes, it's my first party here. Its almost a little too rich for me, but free drinks, who turns that down?"

But, he went to the party and sat at the bar, eyeing the attendees with a rather detached look. Maybe later he'd seek out a certain Girl for a dance. Until then he tipped his glass for a drink as a new face meandered by, taking in his surroundings.
"It's not as elaborate as some of the others you'll get the chance to attend." Caius spoke, lifting a hand to get the bartender's attention.
no subject
"I think this is elaborate enough, almost to rich for my tastes." After all, a church suit was likely not the best choice for every party. He looked back to the half drank beer before him. Even this was better than he was used to. He was used to cheap half stale gas station beer, and only when he was sure his son was asleep. Being free of responsibilities was a strange feeling for the once single father.
no subject
"That makes you pretty new here then. You have nothing to compare this to." Caius remarked with a soft, friendly laugh. He shifted his drink to the other hand and extended it out in greeting. "Name's Caius. When did you arrive?"
no subject
Turning in the chair he smiled a bit to wide "Ashe." He responded with his name in return as he took Caius' hand to shake. Just as he was about to answer more he remembered that he really shouldn't touch strangers. Luckily it wasn't a bad blast of emtion he got. At most he blinked and shook, quickly taking his hand back. "A couple days ago. Not long at all."
no subject
The grin the other man got was confirmation enough as he shook hands with him. "Ah, new blood. Really, despite all the influences it's not too much like L.A.
Speaking of.. where did the City pluck you from?"
no subject

He took a drink and looked at Ashe with a half smile of his own. No, he knew very well how to do that. "Yeah, and it sounds like you had your fair share of them."
no subject
He shrugged a bit. "Haven't we all? What is the good without the bad?" Granted some bad was just to bad to have to live through, but he had no choice in it.
