Possible Scenarios 01. A New Arrival: You've just arrived in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a very strange sense of having been displaced. Thankfully, you don't appear to be alone. Here's hoping that person passing by is helpful, and doesn't plan on mugging you or something! 02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Maybe you'll find someone who can help you fight off that shadowy thing that's creeping towards you! 03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad. 04. Prominence: People have been telling you all about the City influencing your thoughts and feelings. You’re finally getting to experience that. One of the sins is in prominence, and you’re feeling the force of it fully. 05. Welcome to Fight Club: You’ve been dragged unwillingly into the Coliseum and told to fight some of your fellow Chosen to the death. Are you willing to comply? Ashe was walking back from a crowd, his hands shoved in his pockets as he made his way towards the bar, it was time for a drink. It was by fate that he ended up stepping up next to her seat, motioning for the bar tender.

"Just another beer." he spoke, his strange accent screamed the old world. Hard to place but, a nice accent all the same. A bit of his slicked back hair had fallen from place so he ran a hand through his hair, a small clearly woman's engagement ring was on his left ring finger. In the moment of fixing his hair he noticed the woman sitting beside where he stood, just a simple smile offered. "Hello."

Ashe caught the corner of her eye the closer he got, drawing a emerald green gaze that politely flicked out across the crowd as he pulled up to the bar properly, but it was the accent that called her attention back to him.

“Hello,” she returned after his greeting, lips canting in a crooked little half smirk. “I haven’t seen you around before -” And faces she knew, “You a new addition to our little.. commune?”

He gave a faint smile in return, a slight chuckle escaping. "Quite the commune indeed." He commented, the people seemed a higher class breed than those he was used to seeing anymore. "I suppose I am though." He didn't offer a hand or anything like that, he just leaned on the bar looking to her as his drink was placed before him.

"I'm Ashe." He finally offered his name, after all she was a beauty.

Commune seemed a better label than prison. After all, at least they had a few comforts and Devi was at a point where she was actively looking for the upsides just to make sure they’re there. Free drinks and food at parties totally counted.

“Devi,” she replied, shifting so as to more fully face him but not offering a hand or anything in greeting. “You came at the right time, at least. Nothing like free food and an open bar. Your accents curious, pardon my asking but.. where’s it from?”

Prison might have seemed more likely to some, Ashe liked the sound of commune. Ashe took a drink of the beer, sitting it back down to offer another pretty smile. "Nice name." He had to comment on it, it was a rare name.

He had to ponder it a moment. He hadn't really planned to tell anyone but she's cute and well, the accent did get attention. "Switzerland." It seemed easier than breaking it down some. He didn't miss the place at all. "And what about yours?" She sounded like she belonged in the City of Angel. Granted, she looked like it to, just not strung out.

Devi was still working with the idea of their commune being Purgatory or a twisted form of personal Hell, but even after nearly 5 months, she still hadn't decided.

"Switzerland," she repeats, crafted eyebrows arching in time as she adjusts a little, head tilting slightly as she smirks and glances him up and down. Well, Switzerland didn't do too badly at all.

"San Jose, California. Of course, I'd say I don't have an accent at all, but I think I'd get called out on it. That'll make this your first City party then? What do you think of it's glamour?"

Nevermind that the city obviously hadn't pulled out all the stops, it did well enough without them, regardless.

He smiled, it was a touch shy, someone not used to being checked out anymore. It showed in the off handed fidgeting with both the beer glass and mild drumming of his fingers on the table. Sadly, the oil stains were still on his nails. He could never get them cleaned off for anything.

"It's a nice place, I suppose." He answered before a laugh finally escaped. "That explains it. You do have an accent. I had a feeling it was California. I've lived in the City of Angel's the past decade or so. Los Angeles." He didn't see a need to clarify, most knew it was LA. He shifted so he could look at the crowd, holding the beer as he put his back to the bar. His eyes going back to her each time he or she spoke. "Yes, it's my first party here. Its almost a little too rich for me, but free drinks, who turns that down?"

The oil stains got a half glance longer then the rest of him; suit or not, it meant that he wasn't pristine which meant that Devi would like him more.

Despite how she felt about LA, and there were strong feelings there, she smiled. It was always good to have someone know her home state, even if it wasn't her city. Of course she knew about LA.

"They run a little rich, yeah, but it's worth it. Half these people don't come out unless shit's going down or there is free food and drink. I like 'em. The parties that is. Gives me a chance to eyeball everyone. New and old."

She was observant, even in her relaxation. "How's LA holding up these days? Still barely avoiding combustion?"

Far from pristine, despite his attempts to look nice signs of his trade followed him. Minor scars and burn marks on his hands as well as the oil stains on his fingers.

"What better reason to come out?" He asked playfully, since that was his reason as well. Free food and drink, what half sane person would refuse it? "Just barely, the hills catch fire every year, even river Styx caught fire." of course there was no real river Styx, it was just a nickname for the Los Angeles River. "The place is still just as rundown and full of shadows as it ever was."

She flashed a grin before taking a sip of her champagne.

The report of LA got a nasal scoff and a knowing nod. "Some things never change. This place won't be as bad. The weather is still randomly shit and Shantytown is a fuckin slum but.." She shrugged. "It could be worse. What district did you get dropped into?"

He gave a bit of a smile at that, it didn't quiet reach his eyes. Of course he had reasons to want to be in that hellhole but, maybe this was good. He needed to remember how to be positive. "They likely never will." he commented before nodding. "So, on a scale of one to ten how much worse than LA is Shantytown?" He may have a new hang out, yeeeah. "The Coliseum District, it seems nice so far."

Devi scoffed. She didn't find the District that nice, but that was a clash of opinions that she didn't voice.

"They've got good deli's anyway. As for scale, ehhhh," She shrugged. "4. Three if you're not feeling generous. There's a slew of drug dealers, pimps and their whores, gamblers.. dancers.. It's rough part of town." One that Devi didn't plan on visiting too often.

"I'm in the Gardens myself and that's all shopping and food. Much less rough... Much more... Fat."

"I can work with a three or four, that's nothing." He nodded as he said it, clearly thats where he will likely be hanging out. "I see, thank you for the heads up." He nodded some, taking a drink from his glass.

"A easier part of town. I'm guessing that's the rich side?" He asked, no judging in his tone. After all, who wouldn't want to live nice?

Her eyebrows lifted a little in surprise at the way he accepted it.

"No, that would be the Tower or the Financial district. The Gardens of Pleasure is more like.... your local mall, district style. Shops. Food. Cafe's. Well, a few anyway."
