State of the City : 'Lust'

This week, things might be looking a little more tender. Whether it’s because the City things the Chosen need some time off, or because it’s got bigger things planned, the City’s influence can be described more categorically as ‘want’ rather than straight-up ‘lust’, like it usually is. There’s a desire for something warm and fuzzy, as long as it’s got some kind of adoration involved in it; of course, this might lead to a little more clinginess in some cases as well.

(Players will decide how and to what degree their characters are affected by this and all of the dominance shifts to come. It is entirely optional to be involved with the prominence events. This will last for one in-game week and end on August 19. Also, a reminder that we are on a 3:1 day ratio!)

State of the City At Large:

- Weather in the City still isn’t exactly nice, but now the showers are a little more limited. Once or twice a week, generally towards the evenings. Hopefully that’s the last of the wetness for a while.

- In the wake of some Chosen breaking into the Tower, security in that district has doubled. More demons - both of the shadowy and the humanoid, nasty variety - can be seen, though they appear not to be attacking innocent by-standers, instead focusing on anyone who looks as though they might pose a threat in some regard. Try not to look suspicious.

- The river flowing through the Coliseum, Red Lantern, and Shantytown districts is generally being dealt with by Magistrates. Though they seem unable to remove it, small bridges have been built to accommodate movement between areas.

- Due to the flooding and apparent structural damage, the Coliseum itself is closed for any battles this week. Any fighters will be notified of the closure and will be mildly compensated for their time.

- The influx of animals from outside the City has finally slowed to a stop, with the odd one poking its nose in every now and then. However, the animals that have already come into the City remain at large, though they seem largely content to leave citizens alone, providing citizens leave them alone first. They’re primarily congregating either in the Coliseum District or the Gardens of Pleasure, so take care when wandering those areas.

Draco's just gotten out of jail and though he's got a wedding to deal with over the weekend, he is mostly going to be at home until then (whoop, whoop, suspended from work~) hanging out with Charles for as long as Charles is willing to cuddle the crap out of deal with him.

Otherwise he can be found being best man for his mother's wedding (awkward) and will probably be around next week, generally grumbling about dumb corpses who found themselves on the wrong end of demons and/or animals.

He's still sad about Emma not being in the city, so he could use some affection. Cuddles only, because even without Emma around, he still sees himself as married. He's not going to seek them out though, so that's the sort of thing that will just have to happen. Especially since he's new. It's a great way to make new friends.

And even though Emma's not in town, that won't stop him from flirting a little. ;-)
