As promised in the last mod post, here's your rundown on the fourth wall deets — with a preface that there will be a lot of bold and underlined text in here, so, apologies in advance:

DATES: OCTOBER 1st — 31st
A whole month, yes!
(This means your fourth wall characters are in play for a month, then gone and over with the close of the event.)

Since membership to the City of Sin communities is moderated — and in the case of the network and logs comm (not the OOC comm), commenting is locked to members only — we will be playing with the 4th wall in a special community! One is already set up (4thwall_cos) and that community will be open for the sole purpose of the fourth wall event. New posts and membership to that comm will be open as of September 30th [since as of currently, membership to 4thwall_cos is moderated], and disallowed once the event is over on October 31st, but backtagging will remain open and welcome for as long as people want to keep started threads going.

(Any fourth wall comments by characters already in game are eligible to be used for AC. This is done on a CHARACTER basis, not PLAYER — meaning: current players can play characters they don't already have in game on this test drive, but they can't use those threads for AC.)

Everything in that community WILL BE GAME CANON; current players and characters, please keep this in mind. As such, you don't have to have your character interact here and can opt out that way, but you may not have them ICly pretend like this event didn't happen at all, because that wouldn't make any sense and would give us two different game canons. And this isn't Avengers: Endgame, for the love of god; I promise that's the only potshot at Markus and McFeely in this entry. I highly advise current players to at least subscribe to the comm even if they don't tag out in the event, so they can still easily keep up with some game canon.

That also means, for anyone not currently in game but joining us for this event, you are a welcomed guest in our community for this event, and as such, please be respectful and aware of the game's rules and settings in turn. Our current players are also always asked to adhere to these rules of conduct as well; no game-breaking stuff, respect OOC boundaries, et cetera. Our game's information is located HERE.

That said, the only two rules I'm allowing be bent for event purposes are:
01 | People messing around with AU versions of their in-game characters if they wish. Anyone else is still welcome to play AU versions too, but hey if you wanna play an AU of your canon character in the fourth wall too and not claim it for AC purposes (see above point regarding what kinds of fourth wall threads are AC eligible), go wild. As long as any AU is not under 18 and/or a pregnant character; neither of those are kosher in AU characters or not, even for the fourth wall. That would just be too much to manage in current game canon and setting.

02 | Duplicates of canon characters in game will be technically allowed in the fourth wall. In our standard rules we don't allow duplicates in game (unless the other is AU), but for fourth wall purposes ONLY, this will be lifted. These duplicate characters would not be able to be apped anyway after the event is over, so I think this just opens up the door for other ways to have temporary fourth-wall fun. Current players who want to tag into the event may obviously opt out of duplicate responses if they would like. While I'm not going to demand screencapped proof that people get permission from the current in-game player of a canon character to play a canon duplicate of theirs in the fourth wall, it is general polite human policy to ask first in any circumstance where you want to consider someone else's preferences and/or feelings. Don't be this:

Probably Going to Be There
Artemis Seth, Diana's little sister. She's even more overprotective of Diana than some PCs *ahem* so she's going to be checking up on Diana's CR and confusing the shit out of them.

Might Be There
Cassandra of Troy. My version has been through A LOT of multiverses and is familiar with the concept. She's prickly as hell, but ultimately a good soul. Might recognize some faces around town. I'll see if I can manage her.

I'm bringing:

Eyal Lavin | kidon, from Covert Affairs. As the journal username implies, he's a Mossad agent. He's from a completely mundane world like ours (i.e.: no superpowers, aliens, were-people, etc etc etc), so yep, this guy is in for a ride. Speaking of potshots, he takes them at the CIA a lot.

(For those of you who've played with me for-fucking-ever, you might remember that he did do a fairly lengthy stay in teleios, but he won't be popping in with memories from there.)

Crystal Amaquelin | amaquelins, from Marvel 616. She's an inhuman princess with a big-ass teleporting dog named Lockjaw who is definitely also coming along for the ride with her. Being of the inhuman royal family, she does start off on the polite and diplomatic foot, but if you fuck with her then that's gonna stop real quick. Crystal has done superhero gigs with teams of inhumans, the Fantastic Four, and the Avengers; she's more loosely connected to the X-Men and has sometimes been involved with their shit whether she wanted to be or not. She was formerly married to Pietro Maximoff, and they have the cutest little daughter named Luna, who will obviously not be coming along for this, but she's really cute ok let her tell you about her.

Susan Rodriguez | intensifications, from The Dresden Files. She takes no shit from anyone, and is really good at flinging herself into dicey situations but yolo honestly, so she should have a good time here for fourth wall. She's a reporter, focusing on supernatural shenanigans, and later becomes a supernatural reporter in another sense when she becomes a half-vampire. Right now, I don't know that I hate myself enough to play her from that far in her storyline, but we'll see if my mood shifts between now and fourth wall time, so TBD on that. Also open to peer pressure if people would rather see one version of her over another.

I'm also bringing in a fun AU Devi/Erik son based person name Devin @ thesickartist. He started out as a 63!Devi but for this AU he's been tweaked to be her son by Erik.

Selene | nott_caine will be coming back. She's my vampire and Diana's sister. She was briefly in CoS for awhile. She's sassy and has a bit of a foul mouth, but oodles of fun. She'll have her memories from CoS and be coming from the same canon point as before.

Tara | thegreenwitch I'm leaning towards bringing her back. Tara is from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's been awhile since I've played her, but the urge has been coming back. She's a witch and one of the nicest people you can meet. I don't have a canon point in mind for her. It would likely be pre-death.

Margaery | thekittenqueen she was in the city for a long while, even setting up a shelter. I'm a bit more certain about bringing her back for the event and seeing some of the people she was friends with before she disappeared. She comes from the end of Season 6, so she knows about her death. She'll also have CoS memories.

I know I said I don't usually do fourth wall events but haha, I'm doing this one.

With the current Charles Xavier's blessing, I'll be bringing in my Charles who has quite a bit of game memories from Bete Noire and City of Sin. I also had it cross my mind to do something with the older Charles (as in Patrick Stewart's Charles).

Other potential candidates are: Ser Bronn of the Blackwater, Logan "Wolverine" Howlett, or Nick Fury.

Hi! Kris here. I used to be in Bete Noire, FOREVER but also FOREVER AGO. And I'd love to trot out a few of my dudes.

Jim Kirk was in BN for ages, and he's always up for ... stuff.
I also played Spike (from Buffy), Sam Winchester, John Watson (BBC), Norman Bates, and anyone from this list is potentially available.

My mainstay now is Luke Skywalker, but I don't think he was ever in BN but he could come out to play in October if anyone was interested.

Let me know if any of your characters remember or want to remember any of mine, but no hard feelings if it doesn't work out!

Would love to toss Diana at Spike. Due to some Events, she's actually kind of afraid of male vampires now, so her behavior would be quite subdued. She does miss him, though. In her own way. (If you bring Jim or Luke, she will probably try to make out with them.)

Also, unsurprisingly, I had a dream specifically about your Sam this weekend. If you want to traumatize the shit out of the boy, I could toss Artemis Seth at him. She's not only prophetic (you know you wanna hear about season nine Sam...), but will happily lie to protect her sister.

Anyway I have two (2) characters I am planning on bringing in for this:

- Grace Yi (widenessofthesea), a 1st ed Vampire: the Requiem character. She's a high-level Ordo Dracul member who recently lived through the apocalypse and got ultrabloodhunted due to revealing herself as a vampire hunter and flyering the remains of Los Angeles with pamphlets exposing the Masquerade.
- Lt. Maria Palmer (momfromhell), a legacy monster hunter, police officer, bigfoot fan, bisexual disaster, general menace to vampires despite briefly holding a court position as Guardian of the Masquerade, and mother of two. She is also a demon now but she doesn't talk about that and you won't either if you know what's good for you—

I like to antagonize as well as have fun bonding so hit me up if you want trouble!!!
