State of the City : 'Yoko Meshi'

WEEK 63 : Yoko Meshi
March 25 - April 01


Apparently, last week was not quite the end of the slightly strange happenings of the City. Rumours of some citizens being absolutely unable to leave their house? That’s weird.

This week, though, will find strangeness of a different ilk. Citizens and Chosen will find themselves keen on speaking in different languages entirely - something they learned once upon a time, something they’re fluent in, or something they just like the sound of. Don’t know another language? Now’s clearly the time to learn one.

On that note, the Tower’s ability to translate might be on the fritz at times. It’s hard to say as of yet.

(Players will decide how and to what degree their characters are affected by this and all of the prominence shifts to come. It is entirely optional to be involved with the prominence events. This will last for one in-game week and end on November 15. Please remember that we are on a 3:1 day ratio!)

State of the City At Large:

The Weather
The sun is coming out again, which is very nice indeed, especially after that week of grey-ness. Since it looks like it’s getting warm out, finally, perhaps people will want to go outside.

Crime
That group of hooligans is still gone. No sign of them. It’s a bit bizarre.

No one can really pinpoint the source of it all, but every night at midnight, there’s a very strange stirring of energy for about five minutes all across the City. For those out and about around this hour, keep an eye out for an influx of shadow demons.

Rumours
Security around the Tower’s immediate area remains tight and probably will stay that way for the foreseeable future. Just in case.

There’s definitely a small group of City natives who are at the peak of agitation, eagerly bothering anyone who passes by with borderline harassment about the end being nigh. It’s very weird, and people are legitimately concerned about it now.

Yeah - so I'm thinking Stiles is going to be speaking in Japanese for a week since it's in his head somewhere and he won't know he knows it until he can't speak english.

Which is going to be great for him and PTSD flashbacks when he can't understand language.

SO who wants to be involved with Stiles slowly starting to freak out?!

Soooo, Orpheus' thing (one of them anyway) is that he can speak languages after listening to a few minutes of it. If anybody wants to make use of him as a reluctant translator, I would LOVE to do something with that.
