Possible Scenarios 01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged! 02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running? 03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out its doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously, that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad. 04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked. 05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian. 06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank. 07. Network: There's a network device in your pocket - or at least a familiar object that seems to work in mysterious ways. Perhaps you can take to that and ask for a bit of help? Or maybe you'd prefer to have a little fun with all of this. Surely someone will reply. 08. Wild Card:Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

How many alternate universes and other weird shit had Lorna seen by now? Too many to count. That did not mean she was super thrilled to end up in . . . where was this, exactly? Across her face was an expression of sharp annoyance, and with it was mixed some determination. You’d probably find her walking down one of the more dimly lit streets, or floating overhead – she needed a better vantage point. Be warned, she was in a mood and may try to get a punch in if you snuck up on her and startled her.

Allison happens to be out and about as well when she sees the floating woman land on the ground easily.

"Nice trick." Allison says with a small smile.

Lorna still had that sharp expression as she regarded the young woman nearby. The only movement in her expression was when a green eyebrow lifted. “Uh. Thanks?” She sighed. She should attempt to be a people person, she supposed, even though that was the last thing her mood wanted her to do. Only one way to get information? “Who are you?”

"Allison Argent. I'm sorta new here. As in just a few days." Allison has gotten most of the lay of the land around her own apartment, but there's still a lot of familiarizing to do yet -- which is what she's doing now, and why she's out now. Making mental maps. "You?"

“Lorna Dane. That would make you here longer than me.” Her attempt at a friendly joke fell flat. She . . . tried(?) to be lighter with regard to her mood. “I’m fresh off the ship, or teleportation device, or whatever the hell sort of shitty transportation method gets us here. I’m trying to find out where all the cool shit is in this place. Any ideas – suggestions?”

Allison gives a small, polite laugh in reply to Lorna's attempt at a lighter mood. Laughs always help.

"There are some pretty good coffee places and cafe types here. Personally, I always scope out the food selections in a new place first."

Solid advice.

That got her to appear to ease up some. “Ah, wise woman. Fooood. And caffeine. That’s the important thing in life.” She held back a smile. “All I need is about two pots of coffee a day and I’m good to go.” Was she serious or joking?

"I didn't know there was a lesser appropriate amount of coffee." Allison says with a wider smile and conviction. Coffee is very serious business, okay.

"Have you ever done the whole..." She gestures around them. "Showing up somewhere unexpectedly thing before? The most that ever happened to me was my parents telling me on short notice that we were moving again." That's kind of like this, right? (no.)

“Ohhh . . .” She started with a roll of her head. “I have a few notches on my universe traveling belt. It would take something a hell of a lot stronger than coffee to go through most of it. Things get weird, complicated, and a lot of times – ugly. Where were you before popping into existence here?”

Allison doesn't press for more details, instead focusing on the question that Lorna asks.

"California. Have you ever been?"
