Possible Scenarios
01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!

02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?

03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out its doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously, that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.

04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.

05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.

06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.

07. Network: There's a network device in your pocket - or at least a familiar object that seems to work in mysterious ways. Perhaps you can take to that and ask for a bit of help? Or maybe you'd prefer to have a little fun with all of this. Surely someone will reply.

08. Wild Card:Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

What could he say? He was a thief. 'Act like you belong' was basically written into his DNA at this point. Sure, he wasn't actually casing a joint or stealing anything at the moment, but those kinds of things had kept him alive up to this point, so they couldn't be that wrong. He certainly wasn't about to advertise that he'd just found himself here and had no idea what was going on.

He tilted his head, squinting a little at Adam's response, wondering if there was some kind of double meaning behind those words.

"I suppose so?" Remy pushed his hands into his pockets out of habit and, if it hadn't already been completely obvious to Adam that he'd just arrived, pulling a cell phone and set of keys back out of said pocket and staring at them perplexed was a pretty dead giveaway.

The same general principles could probably be applied to life as a whole, rather than just thievery, in truth. Adam was sure that he had a few similar qualities himself, born of something else entirely, but transformed into a similar end result. After all, he hated not knowing what was going on, and he was sure that he kept his cards close to his chest upon arrival too.

People could still tell, though. They could always tell. That, or he was really that paranoid.

But yeah, staring at things like that was definitely a pretty obvious indicator.

"Need help figuring out where those even go?"

Remy raised an eyebrow at the question.

"You know somethin' about it, I suppose?" He slid the phone away. It wasn't his, or at least it wasn't the one he'd had before... whatever was happening here. The keys however, he raised his hand, letting them dangle from one finger so Adam could see them, "Je t'ecoute- I'm listenin'."

He took another step closer, now watching Adam with keen suspicion. Was this stranger somehow behind his arrival here? It certainly wouldn't be the first time an adversary was more than met the eye, and he was ready to fight if that's what things came down to.

"I've been here long enough to have figured out where a few of the right buildings are, yeah," he replied, regarding Remy steadily and easily. It took a lot to intimidate Adam Parrish, even when someone was actively eyeing him as though he had something to do with it.

He tipped his head slightly, examining the keys to see if they had a tag on them at all. Some sort of number, letter, anything that would suggest where they belonged. "Red Lantern District, I think."

He would've really liked to have immediately assumed the young man was just a good samaritan, but he'd fallen for that act too many times to be so naive. Strangely, good samaritan actually seemed to be the case.

After a moment of hesitation, he hands over the keys for closer inspection. There was a number on there, but that wasn't too helpful if Remy didn't have a building.

"Red Lanter District?" His eyebrow arched a little higher, "Is that what it sounds like?"

Look. He might've been easy, but he wasn't in the business of having sex for money.

He accepted them with a small nod of appreciation, grateful that he wasn't going to get himself killed by a wary stranger. He couldn't blame Remy, of course - this whole place being what it is, after all - but he still had no desire to die that day.

The number didn't help much either, but Adam thought that he knew the right building anyway. There only seemed to be one or two places that the Chosen showed up; everyone after that seemed to have moved. Which meant that it narrowed down the possibilities a lot.

"Yeah, it is," he replied evenly, offering the keys back. "But I'm pretty sure your building is separate from that part of it."

Remy took the keys back, looking nonplussed.

"Gee, what a relief," He muttered sarcastically.

"And what are you in all this?" You didn't think you were off the hook yet, did you Adam? "Just a helpful passerby? Or maybe you know more about what's goin' on here than you're tellin' me, hm?"

His eyebrows arched neatly. He'd definitely thought - well, hoped, anyway - that he wouldn't get wrapped up in this mess personally. But oh well. "Helpful passerby. I'm not sure what you're hoping I'll know."
