Possible Scenarios01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out its doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously, that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.
05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.
06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.
07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

At the very least, they were in a very similar boat. That kind of worked for him, actually. Adam liked having people on the same level as him, though it was rarely necessary; it was just helpful. Two heads worked better than one, after all.
Hey - where are you right now?
no subject
uh, i found a bar. it's called Lucky's. i haven't gone to find the room this key belongs to yet.
no subject
Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised and the room will be nice. Mine was.

you think so? i'm not really used to big city's like this [He'd written and then deleted a few things there, not sure how best to word things without it seeming bizarre. There really wasn't a 'normal' way to convey that he slept in a large nest outside of a fae city. He'd been to a few apartments, but he wasn't really sure what the parameters for 'nice' were. All of them seemed very closed in.]
no subject
I'm not either. It can't be that bad, though. I'm just going to find a map.
[ though...really, in the grand scheme of things, Adam is definitely more used to big cities than Thom is, if he's used to a nest. ]

so far, the only thing it's really guilty of is existing. can you fault a city for that?
[The key and phone thing was strange, very strange, but not necessarily bad. If anything, it was kind of thoughtful - whoever had arranged for those. It maybe would have been nicer if they were given an explanation upon arrival, but at the moment he'd take what he could get.]
no subject
[ but ouch, does the concept ever hit home hard. He's not fond of it, so he's glad that this is only a text message. Better than the alternative; it'd be harder to hide the mild flinch.
[ but he'd have to agree: an explanation would have been great, upon arrival. They'll make do, though. ]
Hey - mind if I join you?
no subject
[He was pretty sure she'd actually managed to nod off, sat up, and holding a smoldering cigarette. Skill.]
no subject
[ meanwhile, Adam is just going to...hurry his way down there, because it's kind of cold out, and he's not sure what other hope he has here. ]
no subject
Thom was busy poking around on his new phone, trying to pull what information he could out of it, while slowly working on a dark stout.]

[ he gives the woman at the bar a cursory once-over before carefully picking his way over to the other guy, presumably the one he's been chatting with. He circles around to Thom's left side, stealing the stool next to him. ]
Hey. I'm the uh- The guy you were texting. Adam.
no subject
Hey. You found it. I started thinking about it after I texted you, I'm not sure the sign is all lit outside.
[He shifts on his stool to offer his hand out to Adam.] Thom.
no subject
It's not. But I didn't get this far without being able to fill in the blanks.
[ he shifts just enough to accept that hand, shaking firmly, but not too firmly. His Southern accent is out in full force now: ] Pleasure to meet you, Thom. How is it so far? Here, I mean.
no subject
Lacking anything good to say about the actual location, he glanced down at his ale. It'd just been something on tap, but even so, it managed to taste a little watered down.]
Ehm, well, now I can, at least, say the company is good, right? [He smiles sheepishly.]
no subject
[ when Thom glances around, he can't help but do the same, eyebrows slightly arched as he regards it. It reminds him of the dingy places he's sure his father would frequent. He's not sure how that makes him feel.
[ but at the very least, at least Thom's changing the topic, and Adam manages a bit of a smile in response as he glances back over. ] Right. From what I've gathered, that's the best part of all of this.
Have you explored anything much?
