Possible Scenarios01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out its doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously, that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.
05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.
06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.
07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

"It is." His tone was curt. "It's why I stay away from everyone."
She wasn't doing anything so he moved, pushing just enough to step past her but not trying to hurt her. He was done with this and he's decided that he's leaving.
no subject
Needless to say, she was no match for Penny, so she didn't put up a fight. But she did turn to look after him.
"I can keep you safe," she said. "He can't hurt me. He tried and he failed. And you're much safer with someone than alone."
And even if that weren't true, who'd really ever want to die alone?
no subject
"How? What can you do?"
His eyes looked at her sharply.
no subject
And she was friends with the Doctor.
"Between me and my friends, we can make sure that you're not found, if you don't want to be. And if you are..."
I'm not as useless in a fight as I look. You can't say that, Diana. You'll sound like you're threatening him.
no subject
He gestured around them. He continued to hear her thoughts but he was done commenting on them.
no subject
But, of course, there were plenty more options.
Where is this urgency coming from? She couldn't help but ask herself. Of course, she already knew the answer. If you can save him, then maybe you still have a purpose in life. And there's still hope. However small. There's hope.
And, of course, anyone who was even remotely friendly with Eliot was a friend...
no subject
"Eliot and I aren't friends. We have the same enemy and go to the same school. No other connection." He really didn't respect Eliot and the guys life choices. Yes, they had a similar drug problem but in Penny's eyes, Eliot could do a lot more than he does. He only got pulled into this because he was bored, or at least, that's what Penny believes.
no subject
Gotta remember to try not to think that way.
But I've never seen someone so resistant to having friends before. And I'm thinking about it. Stop thinking about it, Abel.
"But please," she continued. "Let me try to help."
no subject
"Like I said. How?"
Penny was giving her a chance, he was staying but he didn't know what she might do to help or how she could.

Diana walked back to Jack's desk, pulling over a pad of paper and a pen. She drew out a pentagram, then started to decorate each of the sides with a sigil. It was slow going. She was to pull up some memories best left forgotten. But Diana's mind was sharp and she eventually got it, before turning it to Penny, to let him see.
Wall, wall, wall...
"This is a devil's trap," she said. "You can use it to ward off most demons. As long as it's painted or drawn in one continuous line, a demon can't cross it."
no subject
Penny stepped closer and lightly plucked the paper from her hand, leaning a little to close than was normal. He lowered his voice as he spoke.
"Imagine the wall. Don't just think of the word. A shield, form the imagine around your mind and set it in place. You don't have to keep thinking about it to keep it up."
no subject
Center yourself, Abel. Like you're meditating.
Although it was harder with the scent of man.
Still. After a few moments of adjusting, something began to form. Not exactly a wall. More like a...picket fence. But it was a start.
"If he's just a man, then he's susceptible to the same things a man is. Like Jack's security system."
no subject
"Which is?"
Penny wasn't moving. He made it seem like he was making up his mind except that he remained there staring at her and waiting.
no subject
She shrugged. "Also, and I don't mean this to offend, but you don't seem like the type of person who would just hang in a fire station. So you have the element of surprise going for you."
no subject
That and he really didn't know if the moth monster could find him or not. Sometimes he wondered why he didn't kill him when he stepped through that fucking mirror. If it hadn't been for Kady he might have been killed then.
That fucker used him the whole time.
no subject
Especially ones who lacked a certain amount of blind faith.
"You seem to be looking for reasons not to accept our help," she observed. "Have I done something to offend you?"
no subject
What reason was there to trust anyone?
"I don't see why you'd help."
no subject
Because helping someone is the right thing to do.
She'd tried to explain that to Abe once. How, even after learning what he really was, she'd still rescued him from the Giovanni. Oh, to be sure, she'd left him in a ditch, wounded and weak, with her blood trickling down his chin. But she'd saved his life anyway.
Because it was the right thing to do.
She wouldn't make the mistake of trying to explain that again, though. Faith in humanity was all she had, most days. "You look like you could use a friend," she said instead.
no subject
"I don't have very much luck with friends. I think you'd have it easier." She cared and people who cared made friends. It was one of the reason's he wasn't particularly worried about her. The number of people she knew, who'd look after her, she'd be fine.
no subject
A lot.
She shrugged. "Anyway, he tried to kill me. He failed. I don't think the murder-moth monster--if he's still out there--is going to succeed."
It's not me he's trying to protect, is it? It's himself.
no subject
He disliked that part of himself.
"Let's just hope you're right."
no subject
Nothing but sincerity radiated off of that statement.
If nothing else, Diana had her honor.
no subject
Which was his way of saying that he'd stick around long enough to see if she's right.
