In fact, the drug business in the City was so booming that most dealers specialized — and a small number of them flat-out refused to trade in the most dangerous drug on the market. They saw it as prudent: making money was all well and good, until your clients started turning up dead.
A certain someone had made it his business to get acquainted with a few of these dealers. A certain someone who Penny wouldn't be able to read, since he'd been practicing guarding his thoughts for years.
"Until next time," Eliot was saying, as he turned away from today's dealer, slipping the bag into his inner jacket pocket... and coming face-to-face with a face he hadn't seen in months.
"...oh," was all he said at first, while he blinked, caught entirely off guard. "...hi."
