I'm bringing in Ace for another round, some of y'all know me already, but for those who don't I'm fairly chill.

The long and short of it is Ace is a mutant in the X-Universe, imported from a tabletop bit(btw one of the best gaming systems implemented and if that is your jam I'll talk your ears off).

Feel free to jump into anything I'm doing with him, or to hit me up for something. I'm pretty open about most things.

Oh yea...

He knows, or knows of, a good part of the Marvel population so if there is someone wants in that regards let me know! I play him as recognizing some of his closer people but he's cognizant of the entire multiverse bit, so there shouldn't be any issues unless we want them.

Hi. I have no idea who you are but hello! You guys really do come in swarms. :P I'm Mis and I play Rhys here, an empath/half-incubus healer/street witch currently spending most of his time in the City snacking on his friends and being a bartender. :D He's fairly new in the City but starting to figure out his way around, and I'm sure there will be running into each other!

Also, I am a tabletop gamer too, though my jam was always Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, and D&D. Back in the good old days, because I am ancient and creaky~

That is awesome. I only have the complete 1st run of books, ok maybe most of them now i think about it. Such a insane but lovely system and the world setting can't be topped imho.

And yeah, I played 2nd ed Shadowrun, and then 3rd ed. Not quite the *most* ancient, but pretty old-school, at least. :D It is an amazing setting, and while the rules are a bitch, it allowed you so much flexibility!

It has been ages but iirc you're right, it was pretty complex. Though you got to roll so many die. Overall I think it is a overlooked entry into the realm, especially when you take into the account when it came out. But you are right it was very flexible and very creative.

Well, yes, but still. Always good to have it covered. :D

And yeah, they streamlined and tweaked it through the following editions, but the flexibility let you combine "classes" and that was fantastic. Plus the worldbuilding was just fantastic. I still am dying to either run a Shadowrun campaign someday or just play a character again.

It has been ages since I've run one. Though you are spot on, hell i got almost as much enjoyment from just reading all the sourcebooks as actually playing.

The world-building is fantastic and some of the sourcebooks and fiction woven through them are amazing. I have this huge list of things I want to do if I ever run a game, but I never actually get there.

My current baby project is a SURGEd dragon lady ganger. :D Think World of Warcraft Draenei with hooves, horns, all that...on a motorcycle.

SURGEd might be a latter edition bit, or I've just forgotten the term.

I know that there is a pretty decent online thing, I'd have to scrounge for the link, though I don't know if they can handle non d20 centric games.

Yeah, SURGE was a wave of secondary goblinization that came with Haley's comet in 2062, it was definitely a later addition. The last couple years the 3rd edition, pretty much, but it had SO much great stuff to play with. :)

I actually used to run Shadowrun on IRC, but my group went their separate ways after life started interfering and it was too hard to get everyone together in the same place and the same time for sessions. Hazards of growing up and people doing the family and work thing, alas. :(
