Liar Liar, pants on fire

Oh yeah, time for a meme. Apparently this is our first one. What a tragedy.

You know what we got in this City? A bunch of repressed people, who are far too comfortable behind their masks of lies and half truths. Let's have some fun with that, shall we? A la 'Liar Liar', your character is compelled to tell the truth. The whole truth. Lies of omission are still lies.

Rules are simple
1. Post with your character.
2. Respond to questions, or avoid answering statements.
3. Go make other characters uncomfortable by poking into their personal business.

Did- [He quiets, confused, but then decides to ask anyway.] Did the City do that to you?
dirtyandtrue: (Got ya)

[The idea made him laugh.]

No. I'm nearly 500 years long and I've only been here a handful of months. This was done to me many many years ago.

By... a necromancer? [Still so confused. Halp him.]
dirtyandtrue: (I see)

Have you never heard of vampires or the various lores surrounding us? [He's looking to see how close to the beginning he really needs to get.]

Not at all, no.

Mon Dieu. Okay.

Vampires or Kindred as we, in my world, call ourselves, are creatures bound to the night that survive on the blood of humans. There are various kinds of vampires over the worlds, and so, various rules regarding them and ways of turning a human into one of us. Only when you are drained and fed the blood that runs through our veins that you would become one of us, so do not worry.

I have no interest in siring any fledglings.

So... vampires are humans who have been killed and fed by other vampires? [Humans, of course they had something crazy like this.]

But you're still a walking dead? [There was some kind of strange magic involved, that much was clear, but Fenris accepted it. It did make him wonder how it had all started. Perhaps the legacy of a powerful demon or mage whose magic still lingered in their blood.]

What do other humans think of you? Your kind?
dirtyandtrue: (I'm listening)

[personal profile] dirtyandtrue 2016-09-18 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
To your first question, yes.

Eh, only very technically. You shouldn't think to hard about it. I am alive in all the senses that matter.

Humans tend to kill us. In droves, if possible. [His face soured a little for it.]

Depressing, but not at all surprising. You are, after all, eating them.

You make it sound like I'm tearing them limb from limb..

.. Not my clan's style. My bite isn't painful and I can make it leave no wounds. In fact, my bite is the most pleasure some souls have felt in their whole life.

Am I? You are eating them. [He's not sure what he's saying wrong.]

Pleasure? [He raises an eyebrow and then pauses to consider, damn compulsion to be truthful.] Most well placed bites are quite pleasurable, though most I've experienced don't draw blood. How can you do that and leave no wound?
dirtyandtrue: (I see)

Magic. It's the only answer I have. There's something in our saliva that can heal the wounds it causes. Evolutionary advantage, possibly, though I'm not sure if vampires evolve at all, beyond the gains of time.

Some questions aren't really asked; we are taught that it is what it is.
