Oh yeah, time for a meme. Apparently this is our first one. What a tragedy.

You know what we got in this City? A bunch of repressed people, who are far too comfortable behind their masks of lies and half truths. Let's have some fun with that, shall we? A la 'Liar Liar', your character is compelled to tell the truth. The whole truth. Lies of omission are still lies.

First our relationship was contentious, then you declared a fondness of me because I brought down the robbers who attacked your shelter, after which you were quite warm to me every time we met. After the Magistrate appointment, you're harboring an animosity towards me again. Why do you think our relationship is so complicated?

I am uneasy with changes in power or too much power being in one person's hands. My livelihood and the well being of my residents depend on the district continuing as it has. When a new force comes in, the state becomes precarious. My experience with these changes has never been pleasant.

Whether it were you or another, I would feel this way.

Have you considered asking me what my plans are?

To gather information for the chosen? That you act in our best interest?

Do you understand what will happen to you over time?

No. But neither do you.

Oliver wanted the position. Do you think he would have been a better choice for you and your shelter?

I have an idea. David answered many of my questions.

Oliver's animosity towards me was born out of a mutual regard for one person. After the Hanged Man...passed, Oliver didn't pay me any mind. However, if he did assume control, I would still feel much the same as I do now.

I am uncomfortable with changes in authority and the chaos that tends to follow it. My world was upended when it came time for power to change hands. Men, women, children died because of it. Too often the innocent suffer and the realm fractures.

The politics of this world are unclear to me and I have never seen what happens when a new Magistrate is created. My previous experience in regards to new leaders will always color my view.
