Possible Scenarios
01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!

02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filing the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?

03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out it's doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.

04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.

05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.

06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With it's open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.

07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

She gave a small shake of her head, her eyes moving back to the crowd while she tried to figure out how to phrase her thoughts on the matter. It was something she'd given some real thought to after Erik becoming a Magistrate and everything else that had happened in the City on Halloween.

"I think the next tier, as you put it, is the City itself," she finally stated, worry edging in past the buoying comfort and ease that seemed to be wrapped around her like a blanket. "With the way it seems to mess with us, with our emotions and desires, I think whatever is behind our being here is more than just some evil mastermind sitting up in the Tower pulling everyone's strings."

Or maybe she was wrong. There were only so many places she could go with the little information she had, but nothing had ever added up quite the way it should when searching for one single person or even a group of people to blame. A Magistrate had been killed and a Chosen had taken his place - clearly the Magistrates themselves weren't the ones in control.

He takes another small, polite sip of champagne, sitting back to gaze at the crowd as well. To anyone that glanced in their direction, it would probably appear as though they were engaging in idle chit chat, maybe discussing the weather and not theorizing over the inner workings of the City.

"You think a City is behind a handful of interdimensional abductions?" He didn't sound convinced. This had just moved from a manhunt into some kind of Lovecraftian horror, "How?

So, instead of a mastermind or a group of people, you think it's... a city pulling everyone's strings?"

Rogue sighed and gave a little shrug, because of course it sounded crazy, but crazy had been a part of her everyday life for so long that it wasn't really crazy to her anymore.

"Honestly, I don't know," she said a bit defeatedly, her emotional exhaustion seeping into the words. "I've seen a lot of weird things in my life, and it just seems like the most plausible thing right now. But I could be wrong. I probably am wrong. More than likely, none of us are anywhere close to figuring out what's behind all of this."

His eyes narrow as he turns to give her a scrutinizing look. Having just arrived, he hadn't experienced any of the things she had, and he'd been hoping for a fleshed out explanation of why she believed the City itself was somehow behind it. How that could even be possible. Instead, he disappointingly got nothing.

"I'm assuming coming and going aren't options either... or requesting others be brought here?" He honestly didn't even have anyone in mind, but he was curious if it was possible.

Rogue didn't talk in-depth about her theories on the City with anyone, not even Lorna or Erik, so Daken was barking up the wrong tree if he expected her to just lay it all out in front of him when they'd just met.

"I haven't heard of anyone succeeding in their efforts," she said with a small shake of her head. "If they had, I imagine word would have spread, at least among the Chosen." And she would have been first in line to make that request. The thought had her frowning and looking down at her glass, wishing that such a thing were possible.

"Maybe. Maybe not. If you were offered that privilege in exchange for, example, nondisclosure, would you take it and be able to keep your mouth shut?" He pauses to finish his champagne, which he'd decided wasn't all that great, and gave the empty glass a slight frown.

"You're might be right though. Or maybe just not paying close enough attention," His tone was just goading to the point of him still being able to feign innocence if she lost her temper. He was curious just how different this Rogue was from the one he'd been told about. Or maybe it was just an excuse to start pushing buttons and seeing what stuck.

If she had been offered that chance, would she have taken it? If it had let her have her husband back, then the answer was yes, in a heartbeat. She would have done a great many things to have Remy back, and not all of them what one would expect from a proper southern lady or an X-Man.

She glanced over at him with a hint of steel in her eyes, his words prodding at her pride more than she would like to admit. She could feel anger rising amidst those other emotions that were now at complete odds with what she should be feeling. It took only a few seconds more for her to realize that she was being played with on a number of levels. "Whatever it is you're playing at, sugar, I'd be much obliged if you would cut it the hell out," she murmured quietly, anger simmering on the edges of her words.

There it was. There was a hint at the woman he'd been taught about. Yes, taught. Romulus had insisted he study all of the X-Men, memorize powers, weaknesses, attributes, relationships. Anything and everything. He almost wished Romulus was here, so he could point out how useless all that studying had been. This Rogue, though similar, wasn't the Rogue from his world.

He does feign innocence when her gaze turns cold, eyebrows raising in mock surprise.

"I didn't mean to offend you," He stifles the urge to echo her pet name of choice. Throwing 'sugar' back at her probably wouldn't help his case at all, "But there's a very real possibility a lot is going on right under your nose. And there's no way you'd be any the wiser."
