Possible Scenarios01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filing the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out it's doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.
05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.
06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With it's open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.
07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!
Trouble
As he approached, he thought the guy that'd gotten caught up in this looked like Nathan. No...wait. It was Nathan. One of the demons was flattened to the ground by an unseen force. Peter jogged forward, hand outstretched. "Nathan?!" he yelled. And then, to the demons. "Get the hell away from my brother!"
If he was as good as Sylar at this power, he would've had all three out of here by now. He wasn't about to get a glimpse of Nathan just to see him immediately get hurt.
Re: Trouble
Nathan's own hand was flung out as one of the other demon swirled into a tornado and vanished. "Pete." Nathan yelled back his normally already husky voice even huskier with emotion. . He floated upward like a rocket, flipped in mid air and zoomed back down slamming his fist into final demon's face and going right through it. "Okay not the the best idea ever but," Nathan muttered as he flipped again and headed back up. "Come on demon breath you want me come and get me."
The idea was to get the demon to head towards Peter and pray whatever power or powers his brother had at the moment would be enough to smash the thing dead. "Get ready," he yelled down, "I can stop on a dime but I'm not sure this thing can."

Peter's stance widened as he watched the demon chase Nathan. "Got it," he yelled back up. All he had to do was set up telekinetic walls after Nathan passed through the space. It was actually fairly easy, and the demon didn't see it coming. Peter watched it fly right down on them, and-- squish. The sudden change in momentum was too much for it. It crumpled to the ground and vanished.
"Nathan! God, you're here," Peter said, immediately pulling Nathan into a hug. "I thought I'd never see you again." Maybe he shouldn't have said that, but this is an emotional time for him, okay? "Are you all right? Why were those things chasing you?"
no subject
Nathan laughed as he landed. Peter was here...yes that wasn't really a good thing because demons and other horrible things lived here too and Nathan was forever and always going to worry about his younger brother. But Peter was here, and Nathan hugged his brother back just as tight. "Hey Pete," he rasp, growled. "I'm fine...are you okay? Those things didn't touch you did they? They are demons or so someone said they kind of roam the City looking for people to corrupt I guess. I haven't been here long enough to figure out the why and how of the City."
no subject
"I got here a few days ago. Have we been in the same city without knowing it for that long? Did they give you a place in the Tower too?" It seemed much more Nathan's sort of living quarters than his own.
He'd get to asking about time periods and all of that eventually, but he just had to have this. His arm was still slung over Nathan's shoulders and he wasn't planning on letting go anytime soon.

"The Tower," Nathan says surprised, "yes I'm there too. This is starting to get weird...and for us that's saying something." He leans into Peter's touch finally realizing how lonely he'd been since he'd arrived. "I've been here about three days I would guess."
no subject
He caught himself before he said 'even Sylar lives there', because that would possibly be the worst way to find out your murderer was living under the same roof ever. And oh god, how was he going to explain all that to Nathan?
Well, that effectively short-circuited his good mood, so he might as well ask. "What do you remember last? Before you got here?" The questions are quiet and concerned.

And there was the sentence Nathan had been afraid of and for a second he doesn't answer. But finally he sighs. "I was fighting Sylar in mid air and we crashed through the window of the hotel room. I hit the piano and got up and then Sylar slit my throat." He pulls down his shirt collar to show the still healing scar on his throat. When I got here just after that I almost died,"
He wasn't sure when Peter was from, but Nathan had promised himself he wouldn't lie to anyone he knew about anything if they came to the City. "What do you remember last?"
no subject
At least Nathan's question was technically easy to answer. "I was watching Claire on the TV in the breakroom. She was talking to a talk show host about how weird it was that everyone keeps asking her to injure herself." Peter shook his head, somewhat disbelieving his own words. "A lot happened since you..." Died. He couldn't say it. "A lot of it's not good, and a lot you won't believe." Their lives as usual, in other words. "I don't even know where I'd start."
And besides, he was still staring at that scar with worry. "Are you sure you'll be okay? Maybe you should rest up for awhile. Let the demon attacks happen when you're fully healed..."
no subject
"You went public," Nathan said shocked, "Claire went public....and it went alright?" Nathan was suddenly deeply proud of his daughter, she was truly living up to the Petrelli family name. "I can't believe after everything we still ended up revealing ourselves."
no subject
"Yeah, Claire jumped off a ferris wheel on national TV." It made him laugh a bit to think about it. He was proud of her too, even if- "I don't think it's going to go well, though. I mean, at least it was her and not someone destroying Central Park in an earthquake, but there's already a lot of-" How should he put it? "-hypotheticals, being thrown around. People are scared, even if they're trying not to say so. I'm trying to work some things out with Hiro and--"
Damn it, that was going to keep happening until he told Nathan the truth. And then Nathan would probably never talk to him again. Peter rubbed at his face. "How about we get off the street, and then I tell you what's happened, from the beginning? You're not going to believe me otherwise."
no subject
Nathan could feel a chill slide down his back. He prided himself on his instincts and something is telling him that something bad happened. He nods suddenly feeling tired. "Okay Pete," he says, "I think that's a good idea. I'd rather know everything rather then us keeping secrets."
no subject
"Okay, so. First thing- Mom couldn't handle it when you...left us." Ugh, that was a terrible way to put it, but it was the best he could do. "I think. I mean, I didn't deal with it great, either, but she..." He sighed and just said it. "She had Matt Parkman- you know, the guy that reads minds- she had him convince Sylar he was you. Made him shapeshift, copy your memories, the whole deal." Peter heaved a sigh, his voice heavy with emotion. "I didn't even know you'd...died until a couple months later. I don't know why she thought she could just do that."
no subject
Nathan couldn't breath as Peter talked. While it doesn't surprise him that their mother took that step it still tears at his heart. Sylar had lived his life, talked to his family and worn his face. His murderer had taken what wasn't his to take. It didn't matter he hadn't had a say in the matter, it still had been Nathan's life, not Sylar's to live. It takes him a long moment to ask the question foremost on his mind right now. "After you found out," he says his voice so low he isn't sure Peter can hear it, "what happened then?"
no subject
Okay, this was harder than he even expected. He wiped at his face. "Sylar came after me, and I beat the shit out of him." His smile, at this point, was less than nice. It had been pretty brutal, and Peter didn't regret it, even after everything. "We had your funeral, and I got dumb and tried to do the vigilante hero thing. I was just tired of it always ending up like this, you know? Claire talked some sense into me." Even with how it was probably going to end, it felt good to talk this out. Sylar could only offer so much perspective, especially with what happened here.
"A few days later, Ma came over and told me some of her usual cryptic crap. Something about letting the one friend I'd made in that entire time go. And guess what? I didn't believe her this time. I copied her dreams and saw it for myself." Big gulp of iced tea here. This was it. "It showed an earthquake at a carnival, people screaming, and my friend caught up in the middle of it. And it showed Sylar saving her life."
no subject
Nathan had to stomp on his control to keep himself from creating a tornado in the middle of his brother's apartment. Sylar helped them save the world....his murderer was one of the heroes now. Not only had he stolen Nathan's life but he'd never been held accountable for it. This filled him with a rage that he wasn't sure he could recover from. Why had Nathan spent most of the last few years suffering while a killer had...had been on karma's good side.
"Pete,' he says his voice a low growl, "this story had better end with Sylar in jail by the end of it or I may end up starting a hurricane in here." He hadn't yet had time to explain how he'd been experimenting with his powers since arriving, it was like almost dying had unlocked something in his brain that made him understand what he could actually do. His power wasn't simply about flight it was about the air itself. Like he and it were one person and he wanted to share that with his brother, but how could he knowing what he knew now.
no subject
"Well, he kind of did. A jail he'd be stuck in." That was the best he could do. "Turned out he'd gone to Matt to try to get his head fixed." He'd wait for the snorting laughter that followed that, really. "Being you gave him an...outside perspective, I guess." Peter shrugged. "Anyway, Matt trapped him in his own mind, instead. Put him in a nightmare world to live the rest of forever in. I figured I'd get him out, force him to help, and then let Matt put him back in."
No he didn't. He thought Matt was being cruel, even considering. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he knew he had to save Emma. He twisted the glass of iced tea in his hand, wiping the sweat off the outside.
"It didn't end up working out like that."
