Possible Scenarios 01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged! 02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filing the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running? 03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out it's doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad. 04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked. 05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian. 06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With it's open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank. 07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

Caius began shaking his head, holding a hand up in protest. "It's okay, Lyd. You know as well as I do that it wouldn't have made any difference if I was here, or not. Shit happens in this City."

They both knew it, both experienced it. The City held no prejudice over one person over another and things kept on a steady track there. It was always something.

"It doesn't matter," she protested with a soft sigh, lips pursed and a frown marring her brow. "This place is your baby. Seeing it closed for any amount of time is bad enough, but knowing that it might have been because of a stupid decision-"

She shook her head as well. "I wanted it open again."

He loved that conviction of hers. The fact of the matter was that she helped see it to where it was now, stepped up and saw things done. Her blood, sweat and tears was in the walls of the business, too, and hearing her - no, seeing how it bothered her only cemented that he left the club to two very like-minded and capable women.

"Stop." he says, exhaling the word into a drawl. "It isn't your fault and there's nothing that can make me believe it was. Not intentionally. And the place is still standing."

Caius leveled a gaze at her, lips twitching. "I'll make you repeat all that if I have to. Just so you'll believe it."

Lydia just inhaled sharply, shutting her eyes briefly. When she opened them again, she leveled a look right back at him, hers much more apologetic and uncertain. But at the same time, she was still determined, and though her lips were still pursed, there was that same conviction in her eyes.

"It's not my fault, there's nothing I can do to make you believe it was, and the place is still standing. I got the floors redone, actually - I think they're a little nicer now. Spilled drinks should clean up with ease, instead of making everything sticky. It's some kind of new coating."

Caius had noticed something had changed when he arrived down on the main floor. Obviously it wasn't too extreme to notice immediately, rather one of those things you could look at for a time and not be able to put a finger on it until someone kindly pointed it out.

When Lydia did point it out, he spares said floors a quick glance before giving a nod.

"They look good. Did they have this when we put the order in for the last flooring? I don't remember there being much of an option."

"Thanks," she replied, glad that he liked them. They were a subtle change, but one that she was happy with. She might have had to be quick about all the renovations, but at least the place looked damn good now.

"No, it wasn't an option before. But I was taking a look at the catalog, and it was listed as a new addition," Lydia added, tucking a curl out of her face, back behind her ear. "And it got here fast, too. That was nice. Of course, I lit a fire under their asses, so that probably helped."

He blinked slowly, a flicker of interest there as he looked at her. Maybe it was just him still out of sorts having just arrived back there in the City, but he somehow felt as though she was deflecting. Something.

Caius gave a nod in concession, lips quirking again.

"And how are you doing? I can see well enough around here that you've been holding the fort down, but what's going on with you? What's new in your life?"
