Possible Scenarios01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filing the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out it's doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked.
05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian.
06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With it's open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.
07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!
01
He's a bit different in appearance from the way Neal remembers him, now that he's found a more practical jacket than the one he used to wear, and has toned down the leather. Slightly. Oh, and he has both hands now, too.
"You're in a place called the City of Sin. That's about all the information anyone has about it, too. We don't even know for sure how we got here or who brought us."
01
"Wait." He was having trouble with all this. "Why are you here? Your hand? Where's your ship?"
Neal was trying not to raise his voice but he's spent too long running away from magic to end up in a world that might be saturated with it. He usually didn't know where he was going when he found a portal, except that this time he had no memory of going from world to world. It'd been completely outside of his control.

He figures it's easier to move through all the questions at once and fill in the details as he goes than have to remember everything Neal wants to cover. "My ship isn't here." He couldn't have been that lucky; he'll save for later why he didn't have his ship in Storybrooke either. "As for my hand, the short version is that I was in another place before this one, and your father offered to return my hand to me. I never did quite figure out why but he didn't expect anything in return."
no subject
All magic comes at a price.
How many times did he hear those fucking words. His heart won't let him believe that what Hook said was true. It was something else.
"I thought you hated my father."

"When did you even talk to my father?" The last thing that Neal remembered was being in New York and living a happy life away from all that nonsense.
no subject
Which really is perhaps the best peace they can hope for, but it's better than the one they had before.
no subject
"Common goal? I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't seen my father." At least not since he was a kid. He'd taken great lengths to avoid him and he planned to keep it that way. Whatever Killian was doing he could do without his help. Neal didn't care what that 'common goal' was.
no subject
"I don't trust him. It will take a lot more than a returned hand to do that." Not least of which is something he never expects Gold to give him. "He offered, and I accepted, that's all. I'm trying to make up for mistakes, and part of that involves giving him the same chance that Emma does." Sort of. "I made a mistake with you, and I don't want that to happen again."
no subject
Neal didn't really mind seeing Killian again but the talk about his father was putting him on edge. He didn't want anything to do with that man, he wanted little to do with Killian too but it was a better option in the long run.
no subject
It's probably better not to bring up Henry right now, although he'll have to at some point.
no subject
Neal stared at Killian as if the pirate had grown another head. "He brought Emma to New York?" This was so hard to believe and at the same time it was the sort of thing his father would do. Use someone else with some flimsy justification. Neal ran his fingers through his hair, turned, took a few steps and then turned back to Killian. "So what then? They find me there? How do I not remember this?"
He was getting more frustrated and it was slowly driving him crazy.
no subject
"He took Emma to New York. I'm not sure of all of the details on that either." Since they hadn't really been in a sharing mood when it came to him at that point. "They found you there."
He hesitates, but he doesn't think he can put off mentioning this any longer. It'll come out anyway, and make it easier to explain some things. "There's more. They had someone else with them. Henry. He's your son."
no subject
"I have a son? Emma! I had a son with Emma?"
His fingers pressed to his lips and he turned away. His mind quickly went through a million thoughts while his heart thundered painfully in his chest. Emma was the only logical person to be his mother which meant he'd be ten. He's lived ten years where he couldn't be there for his son. He hadn't known, it wasn't really his fault but he felt awful. He was just as bad as his own father and he didn't want that for his son.
"Henry." He repeated the name committing it to memory. More than anything in the world he wanted to meet his son.
no subject
"You'll meet him. When you leave this place, you'll be able to meet him." He doesn't need to know how that time with Henry ends. He wouldn't want to know, personally.
"He was kidnapped and taken to Neverland. Your father and I called a truce when we all went to Neverland to fetch him back."
no subject
He closed his eyes and inhaled a slow breath. He had to get back, to find him and help him. Neal exhaled and opened his eyes.
He didn't even know what his son looked like but it didn't matter. He was a father and that fact now mattered more than anything in the world. He'd survive until he could find his son and tell him how much he loved him. He didn't even have to meet the boy to know it was true. From that day forward he'd spend his life making sure that Henry had a father.
"So what now?" His voice sounded dry and raw.
no subject
"For the time being, you're stuck here, until whoever or whatever brought you here decides to send you home again. So you go about your life here. You'll have a place to live, places are always hiring. You do whatever you can to make a life here until you leave here."
He does have one other thing that he can offer, which he does tentatively. "I know Henry, and Emma has told me about him as well. If there's anything you wish to know."
