+1 grumpy smol glowy elf

hello! i'm Lain and i'm brand spanking new here. i work in an office, the old 8-5 monday through friday grind, so my usual time for tagging is in the evenings and on weekends. and i'm in the US in the central timezone for reference. i usually poke around on plurk throughout the day though and i'm always keen for a distraction.

i'm bringing you guys Fenris from the Dragon Age series. specifically Dragon Age II. he's a former (escaped) slave and has a handful of hang ups and issues because of this, as one would expect. and because being a slave wasn't traumatic enough, his master also put him through a process where lyrium (basically liquid metal with magical properties) was fused into his skin. he's also grumpy, short, borderline alcoholic and murderous. he's basically the Wolverine of the Dragon Age world. sort of...

the lyrium in his skin doesn't do too much, but it does grant him one very interesting ability, he can become intangible and tangible at will. the lyrium glows when he does this (or really anytime he's fighting or gets angry or emotional). he almost exclusively uses this ability to stick his hand into the chests of his enemies and either crush their hearts or pull them out.

anyway! if anyone is interested in reading more about all that, his app is over this way. he's also got a big sword (;3) and is an elf. elves in the Dragon Age verse are smaller and slimmer than most humans and Fenris definitely follows this rule. his former master was a mage, and magic has a kind of taboo in his 'verse, so expect him to be very suspicious of any of you magic-types.

if anyone is canon blind, or just has any questions at all, i will happily chat your ear off about Dragon Age and Fenris :3

also feel free to add me on plurk! [plurk.com profile] squissie
