Possible Scenarios 01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach chruning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged! 02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filing the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running? 03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower that spills out it's doors in welcome, by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad. 04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences it's population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride. Choose your choice of sin and be wicked. 05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian. 06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With it's open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank. 07. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

Mostly she got drunk and cried with Rogue, so far. But rather than say that she shrugged and said, "not much, but there's plenty to do here. I'm a police officer so my job takes up a lot of my time."

"Yeah? Good on you! I wonder if they need firefighters here." He had the skills, and he also had powers that could come in handy so...

He smiled at her.

"I'm glad to see you doing well, here." She reminded him, in many ways, of his Lorna.

"I think they do. Were you a firefighter? I can see you being good at that."

Their cab arrived and Lorna got the door for Alex, motioning for him to get in. Once he was in she followed, fastening her seatbelt. "I've had some help. Magneto is here, though he's a lot younger and lows crappy than the one from home."

"Yeah. Back in the world I come from. I was in the marines, at first, but I got a hit in the Middle East, so I had to discharge, and coming home, i went into advanced physical therapy, and a training regimen, and then ended up as a firefighter." He nodded.

"I like doing it, especially riding the lightning." He smiled as he settled in next to her, listening.

He stiffened at that name, then relaxed a little. "Hm, okay." He had reservations, but was willing to give anyone a chance. "I'm glad it's going well. You look amazing."

A marine? Damn. He wasn't much like her Alex if he'd been able to take orders well. Which. . . Might not be an awful thing. Her Alex had stalked her using her brother, after all.

His compliment made her chuckle. "Why do you keep complimenting me?"

"Because the words are true. Why wouldn't I? A man meets a beautiful woman for the first time, he likes to say what he thinks." He nodded. "What kind of guys are you hanging out with that they don't compliment you?"

He would think less of them, whoever they were.

"different ones. I don't mind, is just strange." She shrugged. There were worse habits to deal with. If he chewed with his mouth closed then she'd be fine.

"I'm glad to see you, or a version of you. It feels like things are right again." Even if they didn't date, it was nice to have someone she could maybe count on in a pinch. "I've never seen a version of you so skilled with your powers."

Alex chuckled, and nodded. He was used to speaking his mind. And loudly.

"Thanks." He grinned at her words.

"Thank you. I had a lot of help. I met people not of your world there, including a young man named Aang, who helped me learn to control my powers, and to master them." He felt like he had learned so much from that kid.

"My own perfectionism meant I had to keep pushing until I was as good as I could be." He chuckled.

"And it helped to have you, er, a version of you, there, to help."

Lorna smiled softly. She'd always worked hard to help Alex with his powers. "I'm glad. It's nice to think that we meet in every universe. Even if it doesn't always work out." Probably agreed never reconcile with Alex, even if the world hadn't ended.

"I guess I should tell you about the city. It's kind of crazy. There are demons, which you've met, and other monsters, too. Plus I'm almost certain this place makes us feel certain ways. Right after I arrived it was anger, then it was sadness."

Neither one was very fun. "Where do you live?"

"I think, in the dreams, that it seemed like life, and egos, got in the way, eat least on dream me's side." he nodded.

He listened as she spoke.

"Oh? Well, great. That makes some things make more sense now. I'm in the Coliseum District."

[magneticxman]

Of course he was in the Colosseum district. She chuckled a little. "Me too. We're housed according to our sins. Apparently you're wrathful." She smiled at him, a wide, friendly smile. "How long have you been here?"

Alex chuckled. "I see. Well, anger has always been my downfall, the lurking beast, as it were." He shook out his hands. "I think that's why I could never control my powers." He had been enraged since he was a kid.

"48 hours, give or take. Mostly asking questions. I was out for my morning parkour run when the demons decided that civilian was on the menu." His eyes glinted for a second, shimmering golden, then faded to normal. "I took exception."

"so now you're not angry anymore?" That was an interesting development. It made sense though, that he would be different than the Alex she knew. It was strange that he seemed to know his counterpart so well.

She chuckled a little at his account of what happened. "Sounds about right. You never liked bullies."

"Oh, anger is there, but not a ruling force anymore. It still makes sense as my sin, though." he chuckled.

Alex smirked at her and poked her gently. "No. I much more liked studying, and finding new and interesting things." And things to do. Both Alexes had enjoyed discovering new fun.

"Have you ever parkoured?"

"that's fancy running, right?" With her chest Lorna didn't really like to run. It tended to look obscene. "No. I'd cheat, anyway."

"Ah, running, and jumping, and using obstacles. And the whole point is not to cheat." He chuckled.

"But that's okay. It's not for everyone." He knew most people thought it was silly. But he knew it improved his control, his skills, and his ability to think fast on his feet.

[magneticxman]

"I've been training with Erik almost everyday. I'm not sure i have time for more training." She rubbed the back of her head, hoping she hadn't offended him. "I'd love to watch you do it, though. That would be entertaining."

"Yeah? Okay." He smiled at her, oddhandedly. "Alright, but I get up early to do it normally. I'll make a demo for you, some afternoon."

Alex liked her spirit.

"I get up early for work, I can watch you on one of my days off. No sense messing with your routine, right?"

[hesnohero]

"I don't have much of one right now. I don't mind." He grinned at her.

"Whatever works for you, Lorna." He felt a draw to her, but he also wondered what this world would be like, for them.

"It really is good to see you again, my version or not.'

"Yeah, it's nice to see you too." Lorna gave him a smile and reached over to squeeze his hand.

The cab stopped and Lorna paid. She slid out of the cab and held the door for Alex to do the same. They were in front of an all day breakfast restaurant. Lorna appreciated the ability to get hash browns whenever the mood struck her.

Alex squeezed her hand in turn, then smiled. As he stepped out, he nodded. "Thanks."

He surveyed the restaurant and grinned, dream memories filtering in. "It's like the place that was near college, where many midnight pancake runs were had." He liked this place better already.

Lorna smiled widely at his recollection. She nodded and took his hand. "It is. that's why I like it. It reminds me of better times, before Sinister messed up our lives."

She opened the door and held it for him. "After you."

Alex smiled as she held the door and he stepped in, then nodded as a waitress led them to a seat. He slid into the booth and grinned as he settled in to check out the menu, and Lorna.

"Mmm, looks like a good menu. I love breakfast food."

"I do too. I'm a fiend for pancakes and hash browns. Everything I've tried here has been great."

The waitress asked about their drinks and Lorna ordered a pot of coffee for them both, before remembering this wasn't her Alex and she ought to ask what he wanted.
