Possible Scenarios 01. A New Arrival: You've just arrived in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a very strange sense of having been displaced. Thankfully, you don't appear to be alone. Here's hoping that person passing by is helpful, and doesn't plan on mugging you or something! 02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Maybe you'll find someone who can help you fight off that shadowy thing that's creeping towards you! 03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party at the Tower by someone who calls themselves the Emperor. Obviously that's weird, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad. 04. Prominence: People have been telling you all about the City influencing your thoughts and feelings. You’re finally getting to experience that. One of the sins is in prominence, and you’re feeling the force of it fully. 05. Welcome to Fight Club: You’ve been dragged unwillingly into the Coliseum and told to fight some of your fellow Chosen to the death. Are you willing to comply? Or would you rather sacrifice yourself 06. Wild Card: Choose your own adventure!

Jack glances over at the woman who spoke and her weird Victorian-but-not-Victorian air gives him a slight heebie jeebie.

"Not much. Likes to talk a lot without saying anything."

Hey, there's nothing wrong with affecting the garb of a period not your own, right? Jack ought to be able to understand that well enough. It's not quite Victorian, but all those petticoats and bustles? And a corset? No, she prefers being able to breathe, thank you very much.

Of course, it figures that she's managed to stumble across the Fact. She's been able to feel him at the edge of her consciousness all evening, trying to draw her attention with his sheer wrongness. She sighs mentally, but schools her face into a pleasant enough expression that doesn't show any of the revulsion she feels. (Really, she wants to pull her knife out and start stabbing, but this is neither the time nor the place, and it wouldn't accomplish anything anyway. Unfortunately.)

"Sounds like a politician to me, then." She laughs politely at her own joke, smiling at him. "Proving that some things remain unchanged no matter how far you travel."

Jack sips his drink and glances at her in amusement.

"How far have you traveled?" he asks. He gestures to her outfit. "Not a bad job, but I was never a fan of the Victorians. Everything fun was illegal and they were completely obsessed with death. I always figured the two were related."

"Just as far as anyone else here. Across universes does rather tend to take the cake, doesn't it? And all the rest of the desserts as well." Even Time Lords don't casually hop across realities; crossing back tends to be difficult, at best.

"Who said it's meant to be authentic?" Missy shrugs casually. "Inspired is the term I prefer. Take the fashion, leave the rest of the culture. Besides, behind the stuffy exterior, they were just as hypocritical as every other era."

"Can't argue with that," Jack said. The reference to 'across universes' could have meant several different things. He scrutinized her for a moment. "Which one are you from?"

"Earth," Missy replied easily. It seemed to be the most common answer around here. "Glasgow, to be more precise." After all, if she was going to sound Scottish, she might as well take advantage of it.

"Glasgow," Jack said. He laughed. "You sound a little Glasgow. But I don't think it's Glasgow. New Glasgow, maybe."
