Oh, ho, the mistletoe! (Oh no, the mistletoe!)

Hello Sinners! I've got a winter/holiday city-wide event for you and your characters to enjoy and/or suffer through! Looks like the City is hungry for some Christmas Cheer this year and NO ONE CAN ESCAPE. (Just kidding you can opt out if you really want to.)

Starting a week before Christmas day, (December 18th IC, January 6th OOC) enchanted mistletoe will appear in random places around the city, hung in doorways, hallways, under traffic lights, anywhere high enough that people can easily walk under. This mistletoe can be destroyed or removed, but will grow back in the same or nearby spot within 4-8 hours, and it seems the more that is destroyed the more comes back in the general vicinity. Like a Hydra you cut off a head, two grow in its place. Have fun playing with that mechanic!

When two people stand under this mistletoe at the same time, even if just passing through at the same time, each character will get the unavoidable urge to either kiss or hug the other character. What kind of kiss or hug is up to each character and player but it can’t be resisted. Hooray!

There will also be new snowfall starting the same day the mistletoe appears. This snow will also be enchanted and perfect for snowballs and snowman making. When exposed (by touch) to this enchanted snow, characters will feel a sense of playfulness and wonder as well as a warmth that brings good memories of past holidays or traditions of family and friends to their mind. How characters react or respond to this is up to you and them, but the purpose is to give them something that makes them generally happy (even if bittersweet) and festive.

Everything is back to normal come Christmas morning, except each character upon waking will find a wrapped present addressed to them nearby containing an item from home. This will be an item that should bring generally positive feelings to your character, even if complex. It shouldn’t be something that brings too much angst. Good will and cheer and all that jazz.

This is a plotting post for Airy and Shuri. I'd love to do a little bit of everything though Shuri is in a relationship at this point so she'll likely try and find creative ways out of the mistletoe that doesn't involve kissing people and will likely result to hugging or innocent cheek kisses and still be embarrassed/feel a little bad.

The enchanted snow sounds great and all of mine need merriment!!!

I will likely tag out just to make sure I don't over load myself because I haven't had the energy after breaking my foot but I'd love to do stuff with people!

How big is the gift allowed to be?

I wouldn't put tooooo much restrictive thought into it, just something that can be in the realm of reasonably wrapped — for example, something like a car would be too large, but if a character wants their full set of bulky magic books from home, then that's more reasonable.

Sara [ canaria ] — Sara doesn't need enchanted mistletoe to want to kiss everyone, but she's not gonna complain about the help from it either. She can also do cheek kisses and hugs for people who might not want her unrestrained...ness. :D

Y'all straight up better have a no holds barred snowball fight with her in the snow, though. She's also here for snowpeople making contests.

Wanda [ divaricate ] — Wanda is going to make a mistletoe infestation sorry not sorry. She'll be blasting as much as she can of it with her magic after like the fifth time she crosses a path with someone under those, because how dare this mistletoe insinuate she doesn't already have a perfectly acceptable person to kiss already that's just rude huff huff huff. Is Wanda too extra about this? Yes. Does she care? No. But hey, if you want something awkward for this, come at me.

She loves snow though. :3 She's gonna be real cute in that. Snow angels!! IGLOOS!!!! Snow and cold reminds her of home, she will probably talk about that a lot ok.

Harry will give Sara many kisses if she wants them.

If he spots Wanda near one, he will totally turn, walk away, and pretend he did not see her or it.

Thor will give Sara, and Wanda, both a kiss, but only if they seem amenable. He sees nothing wrong with kissing friends, and will do the same to Steve if he sees Steve under one.

Cassandra: an ancient Rome care package consisting of a large number of seeds from all the plants from the gardens there, and other little things (a knife, pendants, little keepsakes she'd picked up during her time there like jewelry the gift she got for Daud and never had a chance to give him. And a small set of statues identical to the life-size ones that had spoken to them.)

Zoey: A package containing the throwing knives her dad gave her when she was small and her fighting fans.

HI GUYS

Devi's married and paranoid about all this nonsense, so she will be burning it every chance she gets. I'd still love to see her get caught unawares though, or before she can pop one off! The snow will make her crazy perky and playful, so it will be a nice contrast.

Arthur is down for catching anyone under the mistletoe (guys who wanna get a taste of him, nows the time!) and otherwise, you'll see him make his not so world famous snowmen. Its just a snowman, don't let the name fool you
