I'm trying to figure out where to tread with him too. Erik told him what happened, so he doesn't want to lie to Airy, but he doesn't want her to feel betrayed either. What Erik said was in confidence, because Erik is his best friend, ish. Still, he cares about Airy too. He is trying not to get dragged into in and helping her too.

He really does care about her.

I get that. Airy wouldn't want him to get dragged into it which was why she was trying not to tell him but with the love potion event stuff, she's going to end up spilling it. If he does mention Erik she'll tell him that everything they say stays between them. She seriously won't drag him into anything because she cares about Charles too much for that noise.

But yeah. Charles is by far one of her favorite people ever.

And Airy is one of his too. He did used to have a crush on her. That ship has kind of sailed because he saw she was interested in someone else and that Peter was interested in her. He didn't want to get in the way of Peter and he didn't want to have to make Airy choose. He still wuvs her though.

Yeah, it's a shame because Airy was starting to really like Charles. She really didn't like Peter and had honestly never considered that Peter liked her until his drunken confession because all they talked about was his dad and literally nothing else lol. So she really doesn't get it? Until recently he didn't know a whole lot about her, so she still feels uneasy about that whole situation. And she's getting over liking Jacob which was super toxic for her. She'll probably at some point tell Charles that she liked/likes him but she'd never push him since she knows that their situations are different. At this point in her life she just wants people to know how she feels because she doesn't know when anyone is going to disappear.
