That's the easiest way to put it. There are two kids who are the star of the show, and they only have a mom (Claire). ZQ didn't agree to come back to the show, so Sylar was never on screen. But there is a mysterious father figure they refer to as "The Hammer" and there's tons of speculation that he's Sylar.
