Possible Scenarios
Please note that all characters will initially arrive in their assigned housing; they are free to explore the City to their heart's content after that!01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach churning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged!
02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running?
03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party in the Tower District that spills out its doors in welcome. Obviously, this whole thing is weird and you don't know who your hosts are, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad.
04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences its population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride: choose your sin and be wicked.
05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villain.
06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank.
07. Network: There's a network device in your pocket - or at least a familiar object that seems to work in mysterious ways. Perhaps you can take to that and ask for a bit of help? Or maybe you'd prefer to have a little fun with all of this. Surely someone will reply.
08. Wild Card:Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

His brown eyes bore down at her, for a moment before shifting around nervously, never quite making proper eye contact again. "The cities... don't you know how unsafe they are? The beasts breed here. They steal sirens for the prince." He spoke low as if whispering a secret. This one wasn't all there.
He had true worry in his darting eyes, but only being close now did he see the signs. The vampires always looked closer to the living, but her eyes were normal..okay they were violet, but not red. "Are you a vampire?" He asked after a second, half a step taken back, reaching for a weapon not there, thankfully, of course his shovel had been in the back of the car.

The thought struck Diana was an unnerving jolt. But that didn't make it any less true. He had Joseph's eyes. And Joseph's upper lip. The tip of his nose turned just the same way that Joseph's did. But the way he talked...it was like talking to a Malkavian. And not just any Malkavian. One of what they called the 'fish Malks.' When you asked them a question, all they said was 'fish.' Usually in a dreamlike manner.
Arty was good at pretending to be one.
But Joseph never was. Thank God for that. Although Diana still found very little to be thankful for at the moment.
She tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, biting down on her lower lip. "Yes," she said carefully. "I am. It's...no secret."

The siren had pretty eyes though, but they should be red. All vampires had red eyes, almost all of the creatures had bright eyes of some kind but he had never seen eyes like hers before.
Another slow step back. "Vampires have red eyes..." He spoke a touch unnerved, though a lego seemed to snap in place in his mind as his posture seemed to straighten yet his head tipped to the side. "Why would it ever be? Vampires rule this world." He had no idea he wasn't in his world anymore.

Diana set her guitar down into its case, on top of the money. And then she held her hands up, palms out. Her movements were slow and deliberate. Like he was a puppy that might frighten easily. And she was too greedy for that. Two hundred years since she'd seen that face, anywhere except in dreams.
The fates would forgive her if she needed more time with it.
"Vampires don't rule much of anything here," she said, trying to maintain her poise. "There aren't that many of us. And...I don't think any of us have red eyes. We must be...different. From the vampires you're thinking about." Merde. He was a new arrival. Had to be.
And he'd had the misfortune of meeting her, of all people, before he was acclimated.
Double merde.

He watched her a moment, not fleeing simply staying silent and listening even if his heart was speeding up. What luck she had, getting to find someone from a world enslaved by vampires, and yet, it was her voice and hands that kept him from fleeing.
"None?" he seemed to breath a little easier. "So... it is safe in the city?" He looked utterly confused but didn't move away. "I don't know how I got here, but... this isn't Vegas." Most cities had fallen but Vegas was firm, the desert protected it.
no subject
Although, in all honesty, she was still probably going to cry.
But not at the moment.
"It's not Vegas," she said gently. "And it's not...safe. But I'm pretty sure it's not where you think you were. This is..." She looked from one side to another, a little helpless. All of this time in the multiverse and she still didn't have all the right words. "This is an in-between place. They call it...uh...a hub. In the multiverse. You're not home. None of us are."
no subject
"Oh." Was all he could say as his smile went awkward. He looked around then worried, an almost cute nervous laugh escaped. "As long as no one tries to eat me, I'll be okay, my weapons were in the car...and the car's not here." He spoke a touch uneasy, before offering his hand over, his hands mostly clean but rough from years of fighting.
"My names Francis." He figured introductions might help. "And now I guess, I am lost." His eyes shifted around again, as if looking at something not there.
no subject
This was quite the reminder of that.
"My name is Diana," she said. "Diana Abel. A-B-E-L. As in, 'Caine and dot, dot, dot...'" She really needed to stop introducing herself that way. Sometimes, she wondered if she'd been Conditioned to do it. But that was a problem for another day. Meanwhile, she continued. "And I promise I'm not gonna eat you, dude. Which...isn't to say there aren't dangers out here. But...this is an okay neighborhood."
no subject
"Diana. Like the goddess?" He had been educated on many things, religions had been a big part of it, and yet the name Caine didn't throw him off. "And like the good brother who was murdered. The story of the first vampire, the murderer Caine." He spoke in a way that seemed like he expected her to answer and yet at the same time like he knew that answer.
"You wouldn't want to, I'm sure I don't taste good." He couldn't remember the last time he had been able to bathe. Being on the run didn't help with that. "I guess, I should go find out where I belong." Not that he really knew yet.
no subject
"The first vampire?"
Hadn't been true in Bonnie's world. Hadn't been true in Spike's world. Not in Conrad's or Erik's or Rose's worlds either.
No. No, that was Diana's world. Her special little world of darkness.
...but one where vampires didn't have red eyes.
"Wait..."
no subject
"Yes, Diana?" He didn't turn away, but he did pull up his tattered hoodie up over his head, he so rarely got to speak to non-violent vampires, a siren no less, so he didn't bail, he stood there.
no subject
What did this mean?
And...did it have to mean anything?
Well, Diana sort of needed it to. Too many coincidences.
"That's what we believe. In my world."
no subject
His world was not the same, but there were many parallels.
"Is it not so, in all worlds?"
no subject
For that matter, there wasn't absolute proof that it was true in hers. That was the kind of thing that required a leap of faith. As with any belief in things like Heaven and deities and True Love.
Diana was comfortable with that leap.
Other Cainites had their own opinions.
"Some worlds have different stories."
no subject
He looked around again before offering an awkward smile. "So... how do we leave?"
no subject
And might again.
She loathed the idea of forgetting Jack. Forgetting the Doctor. All of them.
And at the same time, a part of her wished it was possible to forget Joseph. But, as they said, c'est la vie.
"I know it's a trip and a half," she said. "But I promise, with enough time, it'll all make sense."
