Possible Scenarios Please note that all characters will initially arrive in their assigned housing; they are free to explore the City to their heart's content after that! 01. A New Arrival: Hello, New Person! You seem to have found yourself on a sidewalk in the City of Sin with nothing but the clothes on your back and a stomach churning feeling of being displaced. Thankfully, the streets are full of people - Watch out that you don't get mugged! 02. Demonic Presences: You were just minding your own business, weren't you? But that's always when bad things seem to happen, and the City of Sin isn't really that friendly. Whatever bar or street you're hanging out in suddenly go dim, filling the area with an unnerving feeling as the shadows on the walls jump out into reality. We suggest you phone a friend for help, or maybe try running? 03. Party Hard: You've been invited to a massive, elegant party in the Tower District that spills out its doors in welcome. Obviously, this whole thing is weird and you don't know who your hosts are, but maybe you can get some free drinks and food out of it! This place might not be so bad. 04. Prominence: The City of Sin influences its population on a weekly basis. Too bad you came right smack dab in the middle of a heavy Prominence. Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, or Pride: choose your sin and be wicked. 05. Trouble: Not everyone is sunshine and roses here. Some people are violent and cruel, raised in the sludge of a sinful city. And they like to pick on people they think can't fight back. Are you that person? Or are you the Hero who can't stand to watch? Worse yet, could you be the person doing the instigating? Villian. 06. Carnival: The City has carnivals or festivals now and then; you're lucky to catch one! With its open booths filled with cork gun games and funnel cakes, how can someone not have any fun! Go win your darling a stuffed animal, or meet someone new on the spinning cup ride. You might even see someone you know being talked into sitting in the Dunk Tank. 07. Network: There's a network device in your pocket - or at least a familiar object that seems to work in mysterious ways. Perhaps you can take to that and ask for a bit of help? Or maybe you'd prefer to have a little fun with all of this. Surely someone will reply. 08. Wild Card:Choose your own adventure in the game's setting!

Thank you. [He reaches out, taking one of the beers and slowly sipping at it. He smiles over at Kurt, raising his pint glass and tapping it against Kurt's.] I have a strong feeling that I will. Need it, I mean.

[He quietly listens to Kurt explain the situation to him, letting his mind try to wrap around what he hears. City of Sin. Like the deadly sin? He stares, shaking his head slightly. That wasn't something he was happy to here. He glanced up at Kurt, eyes widening at the slip.]

You... You tried to call me professor. Why did you do that?

...[Kurt sighs, tail drooping momentarily.] Forgive me. I did not mean to lie to you, but... You more than remind me of a friend. You are my friend; just from a different dimension. I do not know how much experience you have with alternate realities, yet. But the version of you I know is older. He saved my life and became... well. A bit of a father figure. [He looks over at Charles guiltily.] I am sorry for not being up front initially... But... [He frowns slightly.] Charles... do you... not have your powers?

He actually was quite okay with it. "I have read information on it, once. A research paper, but not much concrete fact to back it up. Different universes, different possibilities. It's really not out of the construct of imagination?"

He sighed, giving Kurt a small smile. "I understand. You were just doing what you thought was right. I am not angered." He spoke softly, taking another sip of his drink. "I'm glad that, well, future me helped you."

Charles frowned, smiling a bit sheepishly at him. "My powers. I, well... No, actually, I don't. That's... A bit complicated."

"Considering the powers that some of our fellow mutants possess? Nothing is outside the realm of possibilities." Kurt looked over at Charles with a small smile. "Please, do not feel like you have to explain if you do not want to. Let us simply drink and let you get your feet under you, mein freund."

Charles nodded his head. "Kurt..." He hesitated, biting his bottom lip as he thought about what he wanted to say. "When you knew me and I had my powers, I presume I was in a wheelchair?" He sighed. "In my present condition, I've taken a serum that allows me to walk. The serum also affects my spine. As long as I can walk, I do not have my powers." He sipped at his pint, glancing up at Kurt. "As long as I can walk, I have no mutation."

"Ja." He nodded in agreement to the statement about the wheelchair. At the explanation of the serum, Kurt's eyes widened in shock. "...A drug that allows you to walk at the expense of your powers? How is such a thing possible?" The real question he wanted to ask was why Charles would make such a decision. But... that seemed rude.

"Hank. I'm not sure if you know him. He engineered it. It... It allows me to have some peace and quiet. The serum gives me the ability to walk, but it also affects my spine," he said softly. "I... I know it makes me sound weak, but sometimes the voices get to be too much."

"Dr. McCoy? Of course I know him--he is one of my close friends." Kurt nodded, listening to Charles's explanation. And it... made a lot of sense. "To be honest, mein freund, I always wondered how you or Jean manage to not go crazy. I cannot imagine how it must be, to be able to hear everything. You do not sound weak at all, Charles. This gives you a chance to live normally, ja? I am happy for you, if you are more at peace." He gave the young Professor a gentle smile.
