He had to wonder what she had in mind, but after a second - as she made the call with that fake name - it occurred to him that she could read minds. Which probably meant she could manipulate them too. He had an inkling of what she had in mind now.

Not that he was going to argue with it, if it got them out of the cold. Henrietta's weather hadn't prepared him for this, not in the slightest.

"Sure," he agreed, though he wasn't sure they'd let two teenagers in there. He could maybe lie through his teeth and tell them they were old enough, or else figure out some explanation that would get them feasibly hanging out. Maybe the barkeep wouldn't care. Either way, Adam led the way over to the bar, hurrying them towards it before grabbing and holding the door for her.
