Penny followed behind her wishing that she'd stop thinking for two seconds. It was starting to give him a headache. He pinched his nose a few times but it didn't really do anything to relieve the pressure and he soon gave up, keeping in step beside her.
"Jack the firefighter?" Penny rose an eyebrow at her before stepping inside in the building. Yup, it was a firehouse.
"So why are you so persistent with helping me?" He'd listened to her a million and one ways to figure out how to help him. He didn't really consider some of her thoughts emasculating, mostly because that really wasn't something he worried about. He knew who he was and while there were parts of him and his abilities he hated, it was still part of him. No use running from what was in front of you.
