She dropped her guitar into the case, snapping it shut and slinging it over her shoulder. A few loose coins rattled around inside of it as she walked over to him. He was a good deal taller than Diana, but then again, most guys were. Being pocket-sized was just part of her charm. Or something.
"You look new is all," she said, giving him a smile that made her eyes gleam like the lights of a pinball machine. No supernatural augmentation. It was one hundred percent Diana. "There isn't exactly a welcoming committee. Unless you count the stupid gift basket thingy."
Which she didn't.
"Are you lost? I can show you where the shelter is, if you want a place to stay."
