Airy was walking down the street when she heard the loud crack echo from the alleyway. It wasn't a sound she was used too and she had to focus to stop herself from thinking of something weird. She paused and watched the alley as if expected to see a black four legged animal.

When it was a man she exhaled and visibly relaxed. Good. She thought. Then she realized that she was starting.
