It still felt like something of a miracle to be out and about with other people, to be able to shake someone's hand without them being nervous, even when she was wearing gloves. With everything that had happened in her world, she was finally beginning to see the City for what it was, for her at least - a chance to start again.

Daken. The name wasn't at all familiar, just as she couldn't place his face. Someone completely new then, and he didn't seem to recognize her either.
