He wants to reach out and put his hand on the other man's shoulder in an attempt to comfort him, but isn't sure it would be welcome. So his hands stay at his sides.

"For the time being, you're stuck here, until whoever or whatever brought you here decides to send you home again. So you go about your life here. You'll have a place to live, places are always hiring. You do whatever you can to make a life here until you leave here."

He does have one other thing that he can offer, which he does tentatively. "I know Henry, and Emma has told me about him as well. If there's anything you wish to know."
