Peter backed away a few steps when he saw how upset Kei was. He wondered if he had a similar look when he was glowing and about to explode. ...his life was weird.

So his stance shifted somewhat, into something more ready to defend himself if he had to. He had telekinesis today, but he was sort of wondering if regeneration would've worked better.

"I can't just leave you when you're in pain. I'm a paramedic, it's my job." Still sticking with that gentle tone. "Are you new to the City?" Because he's thinking this is either a Lust overdose, or this guy doesn't know the whole City is full of superhumans and super-not-humans. Peter's dealt with both, by this point.
