In some ways, perhaps Draco was hoping for an argument. It would have made things easier, maybe, than this unfamiliar and tentative chatter they've fallen into. It's like when Hermione came back, clearly no less eager to be his friend (forcibly) than before. Except it's Harry.

"Oh, I see. Well, that does happen, particularly in our world, doesn't it?" Draco remarked mildly. "It's exceedingly common, I'd say."

He frowned a little after that. Yes, that was very odd to hear. And so, Draco just came out with the rest of it, perhaps interested in seeing how Harry reacted: "I was married to a rather wonderful gentleman, and he disappeared on me. I'm no longer sure if I'm supposed to call myself still married, widowed, or single. I miss him horribly. Also, you were here before, ages ago, and we were actually friends for a bit. How do you feel about that?"
