Several years ago, he would've (and did) spend several weeks paranoid and in hiding, keeping his identity and presence low and anonymous. But it felt too familiar to just shrug it off as not the same. He was here, and he remembered while he was here. If it wasn't Bete Noire, it was something very similar.
