It wasn't forgotten how time seemed to go in the City. It felt a hell of a lot longer than it actually was. Then again, he'd just went through two years in about a month and though it didn't feel like it, that was how it went.

But he was happy to be back. He felt like he was needed here.

There was no surprise on Caius' face when Claire told him how long it had been. Both hands moved to her upper arms where he gave a gentle squeeze. "Two years. Long enough to realise a few things."

Caius gave her forehead a kiss and he stepped back. "I smell coffee. Let's grab some and then you can tell me what I missed."
