I have a habit of taking character concepts and then messing with them, totally flipping them around, and that's what gets me in trouble...Wolf, my vampire, got me interested in WW2 because I had this idea of a vampire who was actually a decent guy, especially compared to the trauma and human cruelty around him. He grew up a family man, a hard worker, just a normal guy...but the war just messed him up, and then he got Turned. Other little things kind of sprung up around that, like the fact that gays were persecuted under the Nazi regime just as brutally as a lot of others, and it all kind of came together.

That all makes perfect sense for Bucky, and that's an interesting flip to Rhys. :) Rhys has had several relationships with women, and he enjoys their company, but they don't tend to work out in the long-term for him. He seems to have a stronger bond with men when it comes to actually making something last, but he still hasn't really figured it out yet. There's definitely something there that doesn't quite match up, when it comes to emotional needs and just physical enjoyment, that he's still trying to make sense of, and this is a guy that's pretty comfortable with his sexuality- just not relationships, just yet.
